NIU bounced back from a 23-20 loss to Boston College in the opener to pin a decisive 38-10 loss on Eastern Illinois in Week Two. Nebraska got . . .
Things went the other way the following week as hosting Oregon edged Nebraska 42-35.
● Quarterback Tanner Lee has completed 52.1 percent of his passes (38 of 73), good for 480 yards, 5 TDs and 4 interceptions.
● Sophomore Tre Bryant is the Cornhuskers workhorse out of the backfield, carrying 51 times for 299 yards and a pair of scores. However, he was doubtful for NIU due to a knee injury. No other back has more than five carries on the season.
● Stanley Morgan Jr. has twice as many catches as any other Cornhusker. His 12 receptions have netted 205 yards and three touchdowns. De’Mornay Pierson-El owns the other two receiving TDs.
● Kicker Drew Brown is perfect on extra points and field goals, with a long of 41 this year.
NORTHERN ILLINOIS HUSKIES (1-1)

Huff and Jones combined for 23 catches, 151 yards and 2 TDs – both by Jones.
D.J. Brown led the way with seven carries for 89 yards, although he did not provide any of the Huskies three rushing touchdowns.
