Overall, Bowling Green improves to 8-5 on the season and will enter the Mid-American Conference portion of the 2018-19 schedule on a four-game winning streak.
Bowling Green was led by a huge day from freshman guard Caleb Fields. Fields went 6-for-7 from downtown to finish with a career-high 24 points. The freshman also had a career-best four assists.
Senior forward Demajeo Wiggins posted his 10th double-double of the season, as he finished with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Senior guard Antwon Lillard (14) and redshirt-sophomore guard Justin Turner (12) scored in double figures for the Falcons, as well.
The Orange and Brown dished out a season-high 25 assists, as five Falcons – Dylan Frye (7), Turner (6), Wiggins (4), Fields (4) and Michael Laster (3) – collected multiple assists. Bowling Green shot 47.9 percent (35-of-73) from the floor, and made a season-high 14 triples. BGSU went 14-for-31 from downtown (45.2 percent).
