The Golden Flashes’ leading scorer this past season (16.6 ppg), Walker was named to the NABC All-District Second Team and the All-Mid-American Conference Third Team. In 2017, he earned MAC Tournament MVP honors.
“Jaylin got to learn what he needed to work on individually to have a successful senior year,” Head Coach Rob Senderoff said. “I think this was a good learning process for him. We’re obviously excited that he’s back and looking forward to big things from him and the rest of our team.”
In 2016, NCAA officials adopted a proposal that provides student-athletes competing in men's basketball with a better opportunity to assess their likelihood of success in the NBA without jeopardizing their college eligibility. By declaring for the NBA Draft, Walker was able to attend workouts scheduled by NBA teams.
