• Guided by 42 points off the bench including a game-high 22 from junior Rafael Cruz Jr., the Western Michigan men's basketball team improved to 4-1 with a 102-56 victory over Alma College on Tuesday night inside University Arena. With the win, WMU improves its overall record to 4-1 for the first time since the 2012-13 campaign.

Flashes finish strong
• It took a strong second half for the Kent State men's basketball team to improve to 4-0 on the season as the Flashes came away with the 75-68 victory on Tuesday night at the M.A.C. Center. Senior Mitch Peterson paced the Flashes' defensive efforts in the second half with three steals, four rebounds, and a key blocked shot with six seconds left in the game.
