Friday's contests close the regular season, allowing the completion of a a bracket for next week's Mid-American Conference tournament. Eight teams qualified and quarterfinal action begins Thursday in Cleveland.

• A total of three MAC Men’s Basketball programs are ranked within the Top 100 of the latest NCAA NET Rankings. Those listed in the Top 100 include Toledo (62), Buffalo (82) and Kent State (95).
• Toledo (19-7, 14-4 MAC) will look to cap off its regular season with a Senior Night victory on national television when it hosts Ball State (10-11, 8-8 MAC) on Friday, March 5. The contest will be televised on the CBS Sports Network and tip off in Savage Arena at 7:00 p.m. The Rockets have already secured their first regular-season Mid-American Conference championship since 2013-14 and ninth in program history. Toledo also will be the No. 1 seed in the MAC Tournament for the first time since its 2006-07 campaign.
• Buffalo is set to close out the regular season on Friday evening when the Bulls host Kent State at Alumni Arena. Both the Bulls and Golden Flashes have clinched a berth in the upcoming MAC Tournament, but the winner of Friday’s game will claim the number two seed. • Kent State improved to 15-6 overall and 12-5 in MAC play after coming away with a 64-51 victory over Miami. The Flashes held the Miami RedHawks to just six points in the final 11 minutes of the game. Kent State was led by its three bigs who all scored in double-figures with Tervell Beck leading the way with his first double-double of the season with a career-high 19 points and 11 rebounds. Danny Pippen notched his ninth double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
