Ben Roderick led Ohio scoring with 17 points, followed by Dwight Wilson III (16), Lunden McDay (14) and Ben Vander Plas (13). Jason Preston added eight points, 12 assists and nine rebounds.
Ty Groce hit 7-of-12 from the field while leading Eastern Michigan with 18 points. Bryce McBride added 17 points, connecting on 5-of-11 from the field, 3-of-7 treys and 4-of-5 free throws.
Ohio led 14-13 at 11:16 of the first stanza before going on a 12-2 run. The 'Cats led by as many as 16 before taking a 39-26 edge to intermission.
Central Michigan was within 10 points midway through the second half, but Ohio built its lead up to as many as 24 points on several occasions before finishing with the 19-point advantage.
