Senderoff is the Kent State all-time leader in wins and becomes the first coach in program history to reach the 200-win milestone.
The Golden Flashes and Pioneers battled for the first few minutes, but Kent State's offense led by Jalen Sullinger was too much for the visitors. KSU used a 39-13 run to close out the opening half and take a commanding 48-21 into the locker room. Sullinger posted 17 first-half points and finished with a career-high 24. He also added a career-high five steals.
Sullinger wasn't the only Golden Flash scoring in double figures on the evening. In fact, five Flashes scored 10 or more points for the first time since Jan. 7, 2019, against Toledo. Giovanni Santiago finished with a season-high 18 points while shooting an impressive 6-for-6 from the three-point line. The perfect night from beyond the arc marks the second-most made threes in a single game in program history without a miss.
Justyn Hamilton finished with 14 points and a season-high 12 rebounds to secure his first double-double of the season. He also posted three blocks. Tervell Beck scored 12 points for the Flashes, while Sincere Carry added 10 points and a season-high nine assists. DJ Johnson tied his season-high with nine points and posted a career-high eight boards.
The Flashes played nearly flawless in the second half and ran the score all the way up to the 100-plus point mark for the first time since Dec. 21, 2019, against Hampton. The 66-point win was the first 50-plus point win since Nov. 18, 2016, versus Hiram.
Kent State shot the ball extremely well from the field, making 60 percent of its total shots and shooting 52 percent from three-point range. It was the first time the Flashes have shot 60 percent or better from the field since Jan. 14, 2017, against Western Michigan. The Golden Flashes assisted on 25 of their made baskets and outrebounded Point Park 48-30.
