
The victory broke a four-game losing streak for UT and sent the fourth-seeded Rockets on to a Friday showdown against No. 1 seeded-Akron. UA cruised by Bowling Green (96-67) in the tourney opener.
Toledo led 39-35 at intermission but was trailing late. Isaiah Adams' layup with seven second left tied the game at 75-all.

Ohio was whistled for a foul with one second left, putting Sonny Wilson on the line for UT. Like Paveletzke, he made the first and missed the second, sending the game to overtime.
The Bobcats pulled in front one more time in a triple by AJ Clayton at 2:36 of the extra period. Fifty seconds later, Sam Lewis knocked down a three for UT.
Ohio managed to tie the game at 83, but Lewis hit a jumper to start a 7-2 Toledo run to the finish.
• Isaiah Adams topped the Rockets with 26 points, followed by Lewis (21), Wilson (15), Sam Hubbard (12) and Simmons (10).
