Rockets continue tourney run; earn title game berth
CLEVELAND, OH -- Sonny Wilson scored 18 points and Toledo shot 57 percent from the field as the Rockets defeated Massachusetts 77-67 Friday in Mid-American Conference Men's Basketball Tournament action at Rocket Arena.
Toledo (19-14, 11-17 MAC), which has won six of its last seven outings, will face defending champ Akron in Saturday's title game. UMass, which upset No. 20 Miami -- ending the RedHawks 31-game win streak -- Thursday, likely finishes with a 17-16 (7-11 MAC) record in its first season as a Mid-American Conference member.

Leonardo Bettiol topped UMass with 21 points. Danny Carbuccia added 10 points.
The Rockets led 22-11 with 11:18 to go in the first half, but UMass worked its way back and took a brief lead at 29-28 at 4:45. However, UT battled back to carry a 43-34 lead to intermission.
Toledo led by as many as 15 in the second period before winning by the final 10-point margin.
