BUFFALO, NY -- Kent State (11-4, 2-1 MAC) went on an 11-2 second half run to pulll away from hosting Buffalo (5-10, 0-3 MAC) for a 68-49 victory Friday at Alumni Arena.
It was the sixth straight loss for UB, which is still looking for its first MAC win. The Flashes, who led 24-20 at intermission, picked up their second straight victory.
VonCameron Davis connected on just 1 of 9 from beyond the arc but was 9 of 20 overall and led KSU with 20 points and also recorded eight rebounds.. Jalen Sullenger also reached double figures with 12 points.
Kent State was just 4 of 25 (16%) from long distance but shot 43.5 percent from the field overall.Buffalo connected on 7 of 29 (24.1%) and was 15 of 53 (30.2%) overall. Ryan Sabol (16 points) was the only Bulls player to reach double figures and the UB bench contributed just five points.

TOLEDO, OH - The Rockets won their third straight and Central Michigan (6-9, 0-3 MAC) dropped its third in a row as UT edged the Chippewas 69-67 Friday at Savage Arena.
Javan Simmons led four Toledo (9-6. 5-0 MAC) players in double figures with 17 points and also contributed eight boards. He was followed by Sam Lewis (15), Sonny Wilson (11) and Bryce Ford (10).
Jacobi Heady paced CMU with 19 points (7 rebounds). Kyler Vanderjaft came off the bench for 17 points, while Anthony Prichard (12) and Ugnius Jarusevicius(11) combined for 23 points.
Toledo led 34-30 at intermission and managed to hold off CMU. The Chippewas were down by two when they gained possession on a steal with 26 seconds left. However, they missed a buzzer-beating shot.
