BUFFALO, NY - AJ Clayton scored 27 points and Aidan Hadaway registered a double double (17 points, 16 rebounds) to lead Ohio (8-6, 2-0 MAC) past Buffalo (5-9, 0-2 MAC) Tuesday at Alumni Arena.
The Bobcats, who connected on 50.8 percent from the field, built up a 37-20 lead by intermission. That margin, along with 51 second half points, was more than enough to hold off UB, which scored 59 points in the final stanza.
Tyson Dunn led the Bulls with 21 points. He was joined in double figures by Ryan Sabol (15), Ben Michaels (15) and Anquan Boldin (12).

DeKALB, IL -- VonCameron Davis erupted for 31 points with 10 rebounds and Cli'ron Hornbeak added a double-double of his own (10 points, 11 rebounds) to lead Kent State (10-4, 1-1 MAC) past Northern Illinois (4-10, 0-2 MAC) 68-50 Tuesday at the NIU Convocation Center.
The Flashes connected on just 3 of 17 (17.6%) from beyond the arc, but shot 46.8 percent overall. The Huskies were good on 30.5 percent from the field.
James Dent tallied 21 for NIU, while Joe Munden Jr. added 10 points.
Kent State built a 35-21 halftime lead and won by 18 to even its MAC record at 1-1 after falling at home to Ball State last Saturday. Northern Illinois is 0-2 in MAC play.
TOLEDO, OH -- The Rockets led by seven at intermission but had to fight off an Eagles second half rally before posting a 90-87 victory.
Christian Henry's two free throws put EMU in front 74-73 with 2:47 remaining, but UT's Sonny Wilson scored seven of the game's next 10 points as Toledo built up an 82-77 lead before winning by three.
Sam Lewis led Toledo with 20 points. Wilson tallied 19 while, Bryce Ford (18), Javan Simmons (14) and Isiah Adams also reached double figures.
Jalen Terry paced the Eagles with 26, followed by Henry (22), Da'Sean Nelson (20), and Jalin Billingsley (11).
Both teams shot over 50 percent from the field (Toledo 55.4%, Eastern Michigan 51.7%).
MOUNT PLEASANT, MI -- Akron connected on 18 3-point shots and had four more field goals overall as the Zips moved to 2-0 in MAC play with an 87-71 win over Central Michigan Tuesday at James A. Rhodes Arena.
Seth Wilson topped Akron with 18 points. Nate Johnson tallied 13, while Tavari Johnson, Sharron Young and Shammah Scott added 11 apiece.
Kyler Vanderjagt came off the bench to score a team-high 20 points for CMU. Ugnius Jarusecicius each contributed 14, while Anthony Prichard tossed in 13 points.
KALAMAZOO, MI -- Trey Thomas tallied 22 points and Derrick Butler scored 15 of his 19 points after intermission to help Bowling Green rally in the second half to post an 83-79 win at University Arena.
The Broncos led 42-38 at the break, but BGSU outscored the hosts by eight in the second half.
All five WMU starters reached double figures, led by Owen Lobsinger's 12 points. Max Burton, Chansey Willis and Brandon Muntu tallied 11 apiece, while Markhi Strickland contributed 10.
The Falcons had just one more field goal overall and two more 3-point goals.
MUNCIE, IN -- Kam Craft scored 28 points and the RedHawks survived Ball State's free throw-heavy offense as visiting Miami (10-4, 2-0 MAC) held off the Cardinals for an 80-72 victory Tuesday at Worthen Arena.
The Cardinals not only lead the MAC in free throws attempted (388), they have 95 more a tries than the next team (Toledo, 293). That's an average of 27.7 charity tosses per game. Ball State (7-7, 1-1 MAC) got to the line for 30 against MU, sinking 21.
