WESTERN MICHIGAN 78, MIAMI 70

Western Michigan (8-17, 5-7 MAC) leads the Mid-American Conference in offensive rebounds, and the Broncos flexed that strength Saturday when they knocked off visiting Miami 78-70 at University Arena.
The verdict ended MU's five game winning streak, dropping the RedHawks to 10-2 in MAC play (19-6 overall). Western Michigan, meanwhile, ended a three-game losing streak.

BOWLING GREEN 63, BUFFALO 59
BUFALO, NY --
Javontae Campbell scored a game-high 20 points to lead Bowling Green (10-15, 4-8 MAC) over Buffalo (8-12, 3-9 MAC) 63-59 Saturday at Alumni Arena. 
BGSU's win was its third in the last four games. 
The Falcons led 38-27 at intermission. Although they could not shake UB, they stayed in front, Two free throws by Marcus Johnson with nine seconds left sealed the win.
Trey Thomas (10) was the only other Falcon in double figures. 
Anquan Bolden led Buffalo with 12 points. Buffalo, which won Tuesday night, dropped its fourth game in the last five outings. 

BALL STATE 89, NORTHERN ILLINOIS 83
MUNCIE, IN --
Northern Illinois' only win in the last 13 games was against Ball State. One month later to the day, BSU (13-12, 6-6 MAC) avenged that setbck with an 89-83 overtime victory over NIU (5-20, 1-11 MAC) Saturday at Worthern Arena. 
It was the Cardinals third straight victory and fourth win in the last five games. 
Juanse Gorosito led BSU with 24 points, connecting on 7 of 10 from the field overall and 5 of 8 outside the arc.  Mickey Pearson Jr. registered 15 points, followed by Jeremiah Hernandez (14), Ethan Brittain-Watts (13) and Jermahri Hill (12). 
Quentin Jones scored 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds for NIU. James Dent Jr (20) and Tsvet Sotirov (14) also reached double figures. 
The Cardinals led early and expanded their lead to 18 points by intermission. Northern Illinois, however, chipped away hit four free throw in the last six seconds to force overtime. 
Pearson's layup at 3:55 of the extra period moved BSU in front for good. He made three of four free throws in the final seconds to seal the win. 

EASTERN MICHIGAN 80, TOLEDO 7
YPSILANTI, MI --
Eastern Michigan (12-13, 5-7 MAC) bounced back from Tuesday's overtime loss at Ball State to defeat Toledo (15-10, 8-4 MAC) 80-73 Saturday at the Gervin Game/Above Center. 
With the defeat, UT recorded back-to-back losses for the first time since December. 
The Eagles grabbed an early lead and were up by 10 (44-33) at intermission. When Sam Lewis hit a trey with 19 seconds remaining, UT trailed 76-73. 
EMU drained four free throws in the final 15 seconds to secure its victory. 
The Eagles' Jalen Terry led all scorers, sinking 15 of 17 from the field and 6 of 7 treys on the way to 38 points. Da'Sean Nelson added 21 for EMU.
Isaiah Adams led Toledo with 13 points. Sam Lewis recorded 12, while Bryce Ford, Sonny Wilson and Seth Hubbard conbributed 10 apiece. 
Eastern Michigan connected on 55.4 percent from the field overall and 64.3 percent on treys. 

AKRON 85, CENTRAL MICHIGAN 82
MOUNT PLEASANT, MI --
Down by three at the half, Akron (20-5, 12-0 MAC) scored 52 second half points to pull out an 85-82 road win Saturday at McGuirk Arena. 
The Zips remain undefeated in MAC play, while CMU (11-14, 4-8) third straight MAC contest. 
Nate Johnson led UA with 18 points. He was followed by Shammah Scott (13), Isaiah Gray (11) and James Okonkwo (10). The Zips connected on 52.6 percent from the field, resulting in four more field goals. 
Central Michigan recorded two more treys and three more free throws. The Chippewas were paced by Ugnius Jarusevicius, who led all scorers with 32 points. He also had 10 rebounds. Anthony Prichard contributed 15 points. Jakobi Heady (13) and Kyler Vanderjagt (12) combined for 25 points. 
Gray's free throw at 18:57 moved UA in front for good. The Chippewas were down three with four seconds left, but Tavari Johnson knocked down two free throws before Jakobi Heady beat the buzzer with a jumper for CMU.
