OHIO 86, BOWLING GREEN 81
BOWLING GREEN, OH  --
Shereef Mitchell led four Bobcats in double figures as Ohio (7-4 MAC, 13-11 overall) defeated Bowling Green (3-8 MAC, 9-15 overall) 86-81 Tuesday at the Stroh Center. 
BGSU led 34-32 at intermission and was up 46-38 with 16:21 remaining. Ohio rallied for a small lead, but the game was tied at 74-all with 2:14 to play. 
Mitchell's 3-point goal started a 7-0 Bobcat run and Ohio held off the Falcons to end Bowling Green's first multiple-game win streak of 2024-25. BGSU had defeated Northern Illinois and Coastal Carolina (Sun Belt) in its last two outings. 
Joining Mitchell (17 points) in double figures for Ohio were AJ Brown (16), AJ Clayton (15) and Jackson Paveletzke (14). 
Bowling Green's Marcus Johnson led all scorers with 21 points. He was followed by Derrick Butler (18), Javontae Campbell (13) and Jamai Felt (10). 

BALL STATE 86, EASTERN MICHIGAN 84
MUNCIE, IN  --
Ball State led by seven at intermission but was forced into overtime before holding off Eastern Michigan 86-84 Tuesday at Worthen Arena. 
BSU's Payton Sparks hit the second of two free throws with 12 seconds left in regulation to tie the game at 75-all. An Eagles shot at the buzzer missed, sending the teams to OT. The teams were tied again -- this time at 84-all in the final seconds. However, Jamahri Hill drove to the hoop for a slam with two seconds left for the winning score.
The bucket topped a big game for Hill, who totaled 21 points with eight rebounds and seven assists. Joining him in double figures were Payton Sparks (19), Jeremiah Hernandez (18) and Mickey Pearson Jr (12). 
EMU's Jalen Terry led all scorers with 25 points. Christian Henry tallied 18, while Da'Sean Nelson added 17 points and dealt out eight assists. 
Eastern Michigan made six more field goals, but BSU recorded two more treys and sent 25 for 28 at the line. The Eagles hit 13 of 17 free throws. 

KENT STATE 91, CENTRAL MICHIGAN 83
KENT, OH  --
Senior guard Marquis Barnett connected on 10 of 13 from the field, including 6 of 8 treys, to lead Kent State past Central Michigan 91-83 Tuesday at the M.A.C. Center.
The Flashes jumped out to a 19-4 lead and were up 44-33 at intermission. Central Michigan trailed by 21 in the second half before pulling within five (83-79) late. 
VonCameron Davis hit four of five threes on the way to 21 points. Other Flashes in double figures were Jalen Sullinger (19) and Cian Medley (11). 
Game-high scoring honors went to Ugnius Jausevicius. He totaled 32 points, sinking 10 of 18 field goals overall and 12 of 15 free throws to go with 10 rebounds and two steals. Anthony Prichard tallied 18, while Jakobi Heady (13) and Kyler Vanderjagt (1) combined for 23 points.
It was the third straight win for KSU, which sits in fifth place (MAC). 

BUFFALO 73, NORTHERN ILLINOIS 67
DeKALB, IL --
Tyson Dunn connected on 4 of 7 threes and all six free throws while scoring 22 points to lead Buffalo (3-8 MAC, 8-16 overall) over Northern Illinois (1-10 MAC, 5-19 overall) 73-67 Tuesday at the NIU Convocation Center. 
Although UB had two fewer field goals overall, the Bulls went 9 of 19 from beyond the arc and 16 of 20 at the charity stripe. NIU was 11 of 11 at the line but just 4 of 22 (18.2%) from long distance. 
Buffalo led 32-21 at intermission. However, Northern Illinois battled back to take a brief 46-45 lead midway through the period. The Huskies were within two, 69-67, when Dunn hit two free throws with 12 seconds left. Noah Batchelor added two more charity tosses for the final margin. 
Batchelor (16), Ryan Savor (11) and Tim Oboh (11) joined Dunn in double figures for Buffalo.
Quentin Jones led NIU with 18 points. Quaran McPherson scored 17, combining with Jones for 17 points, 14 rebounds and five steals. Ethan Butler (12) and James Dent Jr (11) also reached double figures. 

AKRON 105, WESTERN MICHIGAN 92
AKRON, OH  -
Akron (11-0 MAC, 19-5 overall) shot 62.9 percent from the field and 51.9 percent on treys as the Zips defeated Western Michigan 105-92 Tuesday at James A. Rhodes Arena. 
It was the 11th straight win for UA, which remains undefeated in MAC play. Western Michigan (4-7 MAC, 7-17 overall) dropped its third straight. 
Akron led 52-42 at the break, but the visitors pulled within four (83-79) with 8:33 to play. Nate Johnson's 3-pointer then started a 10-2 Zips run, with Johnson scoring eight of UA's points, and UA cruised to the finish. 
Nate Johnson led the victors with 22 points. Tavari Johnson contributed 17. Amari Lyles (15), Bowen Hardman (12) and Isaiah Gray (10) also reached double figures. 
Chansey Willis Jr. led all scorers with 28 points. He also registered seven rebounds and five steals. He was followed by Ja'Vaughn Hannah (15), Donovan Williams (13), Markhi Strickland (12) and Brandon Muntu (11).

MIAMI 92, TOLEDO 80

The Miami RedHawks (10-1 MAC, 19-5 overall) continued one streak while ending another Tuesday as they knocked off Toledo (9-3 MAC, 15-9 overall) 92-80 at Millett Hall. 
It was the fifth straight win for MU, which remained one game behind MAC-undefeated Akron in the conference standings. It was also the Red and White's first win over UT since Feb. 11, 2011. 
Kam Craft did much of the damage for MU, exploding for a career-high 40 points. He connected on 13 of 22 overall, including 9 of 14 on threes and all five free throws.
