
Ohio State, of course, was No. 1, followed by Notre Dame, Oregon, Penn State, Texas, Georgia, Arizona State, Boise State, Indiana and Tennessee to round out the Top Ten.

Three MAC teams were in the fifties: Toledo 52, Miami 57, Buffalo 58.
Others were: Northen Illinois (73), Bowling Green (81), Western Michigan (91). Eastern Michigan (101), Central Michigan (112), Akron (117), Ball State (122), Kent State (134).
Beyond the MAC schools, its interesting to see where a number of other schools fell. For example, Purdue was at 130. Cincinnati came in at 88. Colorado was a 26, one spot behind Ohio. Army made it to No. 16 after posting a 12-2 record.

The grades were weighted, comparing preseason expectations with performance, particularly against rivals and other "high profile" opponents.

Grade A : Ohio
Grade A- : Buffalo
Grade B+: Miami
Grade B : Bowling Green, Northern Illinois
Grade B- : Western Michigan
Grade C : Toledo
Grade C- : Eastern Michigan
Grade D+ : Akron, Ball State, Central Michigan
Grade F : Kent State
Saturday's slate includes a meeting between between the league's only remaining MAC-undefeated teams -- Miami at Akron (2 p.m., ESPN+). Akron leads MAC scoring with an average of 83.2 ppg. Miami is right behind with an 82.8 ppg average.
The RedHawks rank No. 1 in field goal and 3-point goal percentage. Akron tops the conference in rebounds (40.4 rpg).
Miami leads in turnover margin (3.38), but UA is first in assist/turnover ration (1.48).
