With three games remaining Ball State needs three wins to become bowl eligible. Buffalo, meanwhile, is just one victory away from reaching the necessary six wins. Of course, UB is also just one conference win/loss behind four teams with 4-1 MAC records. The Bulls need to keep winning and let the chips fall where they may in conference play.
BALL STATE (3-6, 2-3 MAC)
>> The Cardinals dropped yet another close one last week. It was a 21-21 game in the third quarter, but Miami's defense shut out BSU down the stretch as the RedHawks prevailed 27-21. Two fourth quarter field goals by Dom Dzioban proved to be the difference.
>> BSU (331 yards, 19 first downs) and MU (333 yards, 18 first downs) were nearly identical in several statistical categories.
>> Like many other teams, the Cardinals had trouble running against MU, finishing with 51 yards rushing (2.2 ypc).
>> Quarterback Kadin Semonza completed 22-of-36 pass attempts totaling 280 yards with one TD and two interceptions.
>> Justin Bowick topped Cardinal receivers with eight catches for 171 yards with one touchdown. Seven other players caught at least one pass.

>> Jackson Courville booted two field goals, with a long of 27. He is 9-of-11 on the year, with a long of 52.
>> The Cardinals rank 11th of 12 MAC teams in scoring defense (38.9 ppg) and total defense (463.1 ypg) . They are 10th against the rush and 12th/last against the pass.
BUFFALO (5-4, 3-2 MAC)
>> The Bulls last played back on Nov. 2 when they defeated Akron 41-30.
>> UA scored first and put three fourth quarter TDs on the board. In between, however, Buffalo tallied 38 straight points.
>> Although Akron out-gained the visitors 452-390, the Bulls forced four turnovers.
>> Buffalo held UA to 74 yards rushing but gave up 378 yards and four touchdowns through the air.
>> Bulls quarterback C. J. Ogbonna completed 17-of-29 passes, good for 210 yards and two TDs.
>> JJ Jenkins caught five passes for 57 yards and a score.
>> The Bulls rank ninth among MAC teams in scoring (24.2 ppg) and seventh in scoring defense (29.0 ppg).
>> Buffalo's offense ranks fifth among MAC teams in rushing (153.4 ypg) and is 10th in passing (255.4 ypg).
Doyt L. Perry Stadium -- Bowling Green, OH
This could be the MAC "game of the week" as each team is part of a four-way tie atop the MAC standings. Western Michigan was undefeated in MAC play until last week when Northern Illinois upset the Broncos.
Bowling Green also lost to that Northern Illinois team, but has won three straight since.
WESTERN MICHIGAN (5-4, 4-1 MAC)
>> WMU is coming off a 42-28 loss to Northern Illinois. Western Michigan scored the game's first and last touchdowns. The Huskies outscored WMU 42-14 in between those TDs.

BOWLING GREEN (5-4, 4-1 MAC)
>> The Falcons have won three straight, with the latest being a 23-13 victory over Central Michigan last Tuesday.

Glass Bowl -- Toledo, OH
After a bounce-back win over Eastern Michnigan Nov. 2, the Toledo Rockets face a reeling Central Michigan team Tuesday. The Chippewas have lost four straight. Not only would they need to win all three for bowl eligibility, the final three are a gauntlet of Toledo, Western Michigan and Northern Illinois.
TOLEDO ROCKETS (6-3, 3-2 MAC)
>> The Rockets have already reached bowl eligibility, but they are still focused on reaching the MAC Championship game. Currently, they are part of a four-way tie for first place in the MAC standings. There are no divisions this year, so the top two teams will play for the title.
>> Toledo is coming off a 29-28 win at Eastern Michigan. The Eagles led 19-7 at halftime, but UT struck twice on a pair of Tucker Gleason TD passes early in the third quarter to take a 22-29 lead.
EMU tied the game on a Jesus Gomez field goal midway through the period. However, Gleason tossed his third touchdown of the contest with 1:56 to play.
The Eagles responded by going 82 yards in eight plays. A Hail Mary pass as time expired resulted in six points as Terry Lockett Jr. pulled down Cole Snyder's 36-yard toss into a crowd.
Down by one, EMU went for two. Toledo deflected a pass on the conversion, preserving a critical victory for the Rockets.
>> Gleason completed 18-of-34 passes, good for 251 yards and three TDs with one INT. He also ran for one score.
>> Tight end Anthony Torres had one catch, but it was a big one -- 78 yards and a touchdown. Junior Vandeross III caught four balls totaling 60 yards (1 TD). Thomas Zsiros recorded the other receiving TD.
>> Toledo ran for 167 yards. Sevaughn Clark led the way with 10 carries totaling 78 yards.

>> CMU ran for 197 yards. Marion Lukes led the way with 20 carries for 72 yards. Jefferson ran for 65 yards and a TD among five carries. Glasser contributed the other score.
