The Huskies rallied with two fourth quarter TDs and got a big defensive stop in the final minutes to edge Holy Cross.
• Neither team reached 300 yards of offense in a defensive struggle, but both teams had long kickoff returns for scores. • Dev'ion Reyholds put NIU in front 12-11 with a 96-yard kickiff return at 10:21 of the fourth quarter. A Chester Wright 2-yard run put the Huskies up 19-10 before Alijah Carson brought the following kickoff back 97 yards. Northern Illinois led 19-10 with 4:03 to play. A final Crusader drive netted just six yards on one completion.
• NIU QB Josh Holst completed 12-of-18 for 101 yards with one interception. Jackson Proctor was 2-of-6 for eight yards.
• DeAree Rogers and Jaylen Poe combined for 12 receptions and 97 yards.
• Chavron Wright and Terry Johnson totaled 144 yards (1 TD) on a combined 32 trips.

• All six Owls touchdowns came through the air as Evan Simon completed 19-of-25 for 248 yards with the six scores. .
• UMass QB Brandon Rose completed 23-of-38 for 193 yards with one interception.
• Jacquan Gibson topped Minutemen receivers with 12 catches for 132 yards.
• Rocko Griffin ran 10 times for a total of 94 yards and a score.
• UMass committed two turnovers, while the Owls played turnoverless football.
• The Minutemen converted 3-of-11 third down opportunities.

The Wildcats limited Toledo to two points through three quarters and Kentucky held off a late comeback bid to post the win.
• After a scoreless third quarter, both teams tallied 14 points in the final stanza.
Langston Long's tackle for a safety early in the second period was UT's only points through three quarters.
• UT was limited to just 59 yards rushing on 29 trips. Chip Trayanum contributed 31 of those yards.
• Quarterback Tucker Gleason connected on 23-of-40 pass attempts, totaling 270 yards with one TD and one interception.
• Junior Vandross III led UT with seven catches for 88 yards and a score.
• Emmanuel McNeil-Warren paced Rocket defenders with 11 tackles (8 solo).
• Kentucky managed just 85 yards through the air, with QB Zach Calzada completing just 10-of-23 with one interception.
However, the Wildcats rushed for 220 yards and three scores. Dante Dowdell led UK iwth 14 carries for 129 yards, including a 79-yard gallup. Seth McGowan added 78 yards and a score.

DaRealyst Clark puta dramatic end to the Flashes 21-game losing streak, returing a fourth quarter kickoff 100 yards for the winning score.
After trailing 7-3 at intermission and 14-3 with 9:56 left in the third quarter, Merrimack tallied 14 straight points to take a 17-14 lead. Clark, however, moved KSU back in front a final time with his long return.
• Kent State QBs Dru DeShields and C.J. Montes combined to complete 12-of-19 passes for 209 yards and two touchdowns.
• Cade Wolford caught two balls totaling 109 yards. Both receptions were for TDs.
• KSU rushed for 96 yards. Gavin Garcia (49 yards) and Jahzae Kembrough (39) led the way.
The Flashes visit No. 23 Texas Tech Saturday, Sept. 6.

• Ryan Browne completed 18-of-26 passes for 311 yards and two TDs to lead purdue over Ball State. The Boilermakers totaled 340 passing yards overall, while Ball State was limited to 87 yards through the air. Kiael kelly connected on 10-of-16 for the Cardinals.
• Kelly also ran 22 times, picking up 63 yards. Qua Ashley added 45 more on 10 carries.
• Eight different Cardinals recorded a reception. Two players had two catches.
• Ball State is at Auburn Saturday, Sept. 6.
• Lincoln Pare contribued 170 of the Bobcats 392 yards on the ground in a 52-27 Texas State victory. The hosts tallied three TDs on the ground and four on passes while scoring at 14 poins in each of three quarters and adding another 10 in the second period.
• Eastern Michigan quarterback Noah Kim completed 23-of-34 pass attempts for 248 yards and a TD.
• Terry Lockett Jr. caught five passes for 62 yards.
Dontae McMillan ;aced EMU runners with nine carries totaling 78 yards.
