MASSACHUSETTS AT AKRON (7 P.M., CBSSN)
All teams are dealing with injuries by this point in the season, but the UMass football programs seems to have taken injuries to another level.
According to footballscoop.com, so many Minutemen players were injured that coaching staff members filled in at scout team spots during practices leading up to last week's clash with Central Michigan. That didn't bode well, especially with five games left and no wins on the season.
UMass did come up short against CMU, falling 38-13. Still looking for their first win, the Minutemen face Akron on the road this week.
The Zips have just three wins on the year, but two were in the MAC. Akron defeated Central Michigan (28-22) back on Oct. 4 and upset Buffalo on the road 24-16 last Saturday.
