OHIO AT BUFFALO (NOON, ESPNU)
After falling at home to Miami last week, the Buffalo Bulls are still one win short of bowl eligibility. Unfortunately for UB, Friday's season finale opponent is Ohio, and the Bobcats are part of a scrum battling for a spot in the upcoming MAC Championship game.
Right now, it's all hands on board and pedal to the metal for all contenders.

• • • • • OHIO (7-4, 5-2 MAC) bounced back from its Nov. 11 loss to Western Michigan (17-13) with a 42-14 victory over winless Massachusetts Nov. 18.
The Minutemen jumped out to a 7-0 lead, but Ohio responded with three TDs for a 21-7 halftime lead.
It was a repeat in the second half, with UMass scoring a TD and the 'Cats following with three more.
• Ohio outgained the visitors 391-215 overall, but both teams had 17 first downs.
• The Bobcats threw just eight passes, completing three for a total of 28 yards. However, they ran 57 times for a total of 363 yards and six TDs. Sieh Bangura recorded a career high 196 yards (2 TDs) on 27 carries.
• UMass quarterbacks Grant Jordan (10/21, 56 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT), Brandon Rose (5/6. 34 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT) and AJ Hairston (0/1) combined for90 yards with two TDs and two INTs while completing 15 of 28 tosses.
• Jacquon Gibson led the Minutemen with five receptions for 21 yards.
• Ohio ranks second among MAC teams in scoring (28.5 ppg) and is fourth in scoring defense (22.6 ppg).
• The 'Cats are No.1 in rushing (217.3 ypg) and seventh in passing  offense (191.3 ypg).

• • • • •  BUFFALO (5-8, 4-3 MAC) has lost three of its last four, with the last victory coming against Bowling Green (28-3) back on Nov. 1. The schedule tightened up after that, UB still needs one more win for bowl eligibility.
• The Bulls are coming off a 47-20 home loss to Miami. UB took an early 3-0 lead, but MU rallied fo 17 second quarter points behind freshman QB Tommy Gotkowski.
A late TD pulled UB within seven (17-10) at intermission, and the Bulls moved in front a final time with 10 straight points in the third period. Miami, however, took over and scored the game's final 20 points.
• Senior quarterback Ta'quan Roberson connected on 24 of 48 pass atempts, totaling 202 yards with two TDs and two INTs.
•  Nik McMillan and Victor Snow combined for 17 catches, 258 yards and a touchdown. Both players are among the MAC's top five receivers. McMillan is second with an average of 78.1 receiving yards per game. Snow is tied for second in receiving touchdowns (8).
• Roberson is tied for second among MAC passers (225.0 ypg).
• Miami held Buffalo's ground attack to 46 yards. The RedHawks also recorded six sacks and 10 TFL.
• Linebacker Red Murdock is second among MAC defenders. His 128 tackles is one behind leader Quinton Urwiler of Northern Illinois. Murdock leads the league in sacks (4.5).

KENT STATE AT NORTHERN ILLINOIS (NOON, ESPNU)
If you go by their last six games, the Northern Illinois Huskies are due for a win.
Why? Well, NIU has neither won -- nor lost -- two straight during the six-game stretch. Having lost their last outing, Huskies hope to keep the pattern going with a win in their season finale.
Of course, Kent State might be thinking similarly, as the Flashes have alternated wins and losses over their last four. KSU is coming off a 35-19 loss to Western Michigan.
Neither team is headed to a bowl game, but both want to finish 2025 on a winning note.

• • • • • KENT STATE (4-7, 3-2 MAC) may not be going to a bowl game, but it already has four wins and could finish with five. That is definitely a marked improvement over the winless 2024 campaign.
• KSU is coming off a 28-16 loss to Central Michigan. The Chippewas led 14-3 at intermission. After a scorless third period, both teams scored two fourth quarter TDs. The Flashes also failed on a two-point conversion try.
• Neither team reached 300 yards of offense as CMU outgained the hosting Flashes 297-276 overall. However, KSU had four more first downs (20-16.).
• Kent State gained 91 yards on the ground, with 77 coming on the efforts of 15 runs by Gavin Garcia.
• KSU quarterback Dru DeSheilds connected on 14 of 28 passes, good for 186 yards.
• Wayne Harris and Dashawn Martin combined for six catches and 108 yards.
• Harris provided one TD on special teams, returning a punt 59 yards for a fourth quarter score.
• Central Michigan's defense hounded the Flashes, recording four sacks and 11 TFL along the way.
• Kent State ranks ninth among MAC teams in scoring (20.0 ppg) and is 12th in scoring defense (33.8 ppg).
•  The Flashes offense is 12th in rushing (85.1 ypg) and fifth in passing (196.2 ypg).

• • • • • NORTHERN ILLINOIS (3-8, 2-5 MAC) football is one step away from its final MAC verdict.  The Huskies will be part of the Mountain West Conference in 2026.
• It's been an up-and-down November, with NIU falling to two of the MAC's better teams (Toledo and Western Michigan). The Huskies defeated winless UMass handily (45-2) and are favored at home in Friday's finale.
• Northern Illinois has displayed a knack for scoring early and
jumped out to a 13-0 lead on MAC leader Western Michigan last week. However, the Broncos tallied two TDs before intermission and added three more touchdowns in the second half. A late Huskie score reduced the final margin to 16 points.
• NIU registered just 78 yards passing. Brady Davison (5/8, 73 yards, 1 TED) and Jalen Macon (1/7, 5 yards) combined for 6 of 15, 78 yards and one score.
• Three Huskies caught passes. Rickey Taylor Jr. led the way with three catches for 53 yards and a TD.
• Northern Illinois rushed for 174 yards, including 92 by Chavron Wright on 21 carries. Telly Johnson Jr. logged six trips for 42 yards, including a 43-yard first quarter TD.
• Jasper Beeler recorded 13 tackles and an interception,
• Western Michigan totaled just 32 yards passing. However, the Broncos ran for 361 yards.
• Veteran Huskie kicker Andrew Glass hit both field goal tries, including a long of 41.
• NIU ranks 11th among MAC teams in scoring (15.8 ypg) and is seventh in scoring defense (23.4 ppg).
• The Huskie offense is fourth in rushing (176.2 ypg) and 15th (last) in passing (105.4 ypg).
