The Bulls were also . . .
. . . selected to win the 2020 MAC Football Championship Title. UB returns 15 starters to a team that went 8-5 and won its first ever bowl game in 2019 – defeating Charlotte in the Bahamas Bowl. Entering his junior season, Jaret Patterson is coming off a record-breaking campaign for the Bulls. He rushed for a single-season school record 1,799 yards and scored 19 rushing touchdowns, also a school record in 2019. An All-MAC First Team selection, Patterson led the Mid-American and ranked fifth in the nation in rushing last season. The Chippewas enjoyed an incredible turnaround a year ago, increasing their win total by seven games and earning the Mid-American West title for the first time in a decade. CMU led the league in total offense and rolled up 424 points, the fourth-highest total in program history. Two Chippewa running backs posted 1,000-yard rushing seasons in 2019, the first time ever that two CMU runners had done that in a single season, and two 2020 returnees – receivers Kalil Pimpleton and JaCorey Sullivan – earned First Team All-MAC honors. | East Division Predicted Order of Finish 1.
