CENTRAL MICHIGAN 16, SAN JOSE STATE 14
• The hosting Spartans rode their ground game, registering 41 rushes for 186 yards while the MSU defense held Western Michigan to 29 rushing yards on 24 carries.
• The Broncos fared better in the air, completing 16-of-33 attempts for a total of 188 yards with one TD. Brady Jones connected on 11-of-23 for 97 yards with one interception. Broc Lowry completed 5-of-10 for 91 yards.
• Baylin Brooks and Talique Williams combined for nine catches totaling 159 yards to lead WMU receivers.
• Tate Hallock\s pick-six interception with 2:51 remaining in the final quarter was Western Michigan's only score of the contest. A two-point try failed.

• CMU built up a 13-0 lead midway through the second quarter but needed a late field goal to defeat hosting San Jose State for a 16-14 win.
The Spartans scored single touchdowns in the second and third periods to move in front 14-13. However, Cade Graham capped a 14-play, 70-yard CMU drive with a 29-yard field goal with 4:13 left to play. San Jose State missed a 33-yard attempt of its own on the following drive and also a 56-yard try as time expired.
• Central Michigan rushed 52 times for a total of 225 yards. Nahree Biggins (102 yards) and Trey Cornist (99 yards, 1 TD) led the way.
• Tommy McIntosh hd a 47-yard reception among his two catches for 61 yards.
• Danny Scudero led SJSU with nine catches totaling 189 yards with a TD. Walker Eget completed 24-of-43 pases for 308 yards with two TDs and two interceptions.
• Brenden Deasfernandes and Elijah Rikard recorded picks for CMU.
