This week's game against Eastern Michigan . . .
The Eagles have been "close" to several wins this year, only to come up short. After falling to defending champ Ohio 26-21 Oct. 21, EMU is now 2-7 (1-4 MAC).
• • • • • EASTERN MICHIGAN led the Bobcats 14-7 at intermission. However, Ohio scored three touchdowns before EMU managed a late TD.
• QB Noah Kim completed 21 of 30 pass attempts, good for 259 yards and two TDs.
• Nick Devereaux led EMU receivers with five catches for 121 yards and two scores.
• Dontae McMillan logged 1- carries for 49 yards.
• Eastern Michigan's defense registered two sacks and five TFL against one of the MAC's best offenses.
• Mitchell Tomasek averaged 48.6 yards on six punts, while Ohio's Magnus Haines averaged 58.5 yards on two boots.
• The Eagles rank sixth among MAC teams in scoring (24.1 ppg) and are 11th in scoring defense (32.9 ppg).
• EMU ranks ninth in rushing (138.9 ypg) and second in passing (227.8 ypg).
• • • • • BOWLING GREEN (2-6, 1-4 MAC) has lost three strait, with the most recent setback coming at home against Buffalo (28-3).
• The Bulls led 21-0 at intermission and added a third quarter quarter TD before BGSU scored its only points on a 51-yard Jackson Kleather field goal with *:33 left in the game.
• Although the Falcons held UB to 282 yards of offense, Bowling Green managed just 216 yards.
• Drew Pyne and Hunter Najm combined for 100 yards passing while completing 11 of 28 with one interception.
• Jyrin Johnson caught five balls for a total of 69 yards.
• Austyn Dendy was the Falcons workhorse, carrying 18 times for 62 yards.
• Bowling Green was outgained by Buffalo 282-216. The two teams combined to convert just seven of 29 third down opportunities.
