EASTERN MICHIGAN 38, CENTRAL MICHIGAN 34
YPSILANTI, MI -- The Eagles scored three TDs in the last 10:54 as Eastern Michigan (5-2, 2-1 MAC) pulled out a 38-34 victory over Central Michigan (3-4, 1-2 MAC). 
EMU led 16-14 at intermission thanks to a Jesus Gomez field goal as time expired. However, the Chippewas scored 20 straight points to lead 34-16 before EMU went on its 22-point run to close the game. 
Eagles quarterback Cole Snyder completed 17-of-38 attempts for a total of 300 passing yards with three TDs and one interception. He also ran 17 times, contributing another 48 yards and a score. Delbert Sims led EMU rushing with 21 carries for 90 yards. Markus Allen topped receivers with seven catches totaling 140 yards with one score. Terry Lockett Jr. tallied two TDs among his three catches for 100 yards. 
Central Michigan leaned on its run game, passing just 12 times and completing five for 98 yards and one TD. Five different receivers registered one catch apiece.
Marion Lukes topped the CMU grown game with 13 carries totaling 118 yards. Tylder Jefferson and QB Bert Emanuel Jr. combined for 28 carries, 142 yards and a score.


BOWLING GREEN 27, KENT STATE 6
BOWLING GREEN, OH -- The Falcons forced three turnovers and held Kent State (0-7, 0-1 MAC) to 204 yards of offense on the way to a 27-6 Bowling Green  (3-4, 2-1 MAC) win Saturday at Doyt L. Perry Stadium. It was the 16th straight loss for KSU, which now owns the nation’s longest active losing streak.
Connor Bazelak connected on 23-of-27 passes for the Falcons, providing 313 yards with two TDs. Tight end Harold Fannnin Jr. led receivers with 10 catches for 171 yards. Malcolm Johnson Jr. and Jamal Johnson recorded receiving TDs. 
Terion Steward led Bowling Green’s run game with 124 yards on 25 carries.  
Todd Bumphis, Patrick Day and Edward Rhambo notched interceptions  for the Falcons defense. 
Kent State had just 78 yards through the air. Ky Thomas ran 14 times for 121 yards to pace the KSU ground game. Will Hryszko accounted for all the Flashes scoring with two field goals (37, 30).


WESTERN MICHIGAN 48, BUFFALO 41
BUFFALO, NY --  Visiting Western Michigan (4-3, 3-0 MAC) broke a 38-all fourth quarter tie with 10 points and held off Buffalo (4-3, 2-1 MAC) 48-41 Saturday at UB Stadium. 
UB closed to within seven with a field goal at 1:02  but was unable to get the ball back. 
With its victory, Western Michigan became the only MAC team with an undefeated conference record. Buffalo is among six teams now tied at 2-1. 
WMU (489 yards)  and UB (551 yards) combined for 1,040 yards of total offense in wild game 
Broncos QB Hayden Wolff completed 20-of-31 pass attempts totaling 280 yards with three TDs. Blake Bosma led Bronco receivers with six catches, 85 yards and three TDs. Kenneth Womack added 71 yards on three receptions. Jaden Nixon carried 14 times for 112 yards and three scores to lead a 209-yard WMU run game.
Buffalo’s C.J. Ogbonna connected on 22-of-34 passes, producing 309 yards and two touchdowns. 
The Bulls also ran for 242 yards. Al-Jay Henderson led the way with 12 runs for 97 yards and a score. Messiah Burch and Victor Snow also found paydirt. 
Luke Zurack hit two field goals for WMU, while Upton Bellenfant matched that with two for the Bulls. 


TOLEDO 13, NORTHERN ILLINOIS 6
DeKALB, IL -- Jerjuan Newton’s second quarter 52-yard touchdown reception proved to be the difference as Toledo (5-2, 2-1 MAC) edged Northern Illinois (4-3, 1-2 MAC)  13-6 Saturday at Huskie Stadium. 
The hosting Huskies hit two first half field goals but trailed 7-6 at the break. Toledo connected on two field goals for the only scores after intermission.
NIU out-gained the visitors 391-285 overall, had a 25-15 advantage in first downs and owned a 6:14 edge in time of possession. 
Sophomore John Alan Richter, filling in for Tucker Gleason, completed 15-of-28 passes totaling 152 yards with one score. Junior Vandeross III caught seven passes for 64 yards. Newton contributed 64 yards and the decisive TD among his three receptions. 
Connor Walendzak led the Rockets ground game with 19 carries for 78 yards. Sevaughn Clark ran 11 times for 48 yards and UT totaled 133 yards on the ground. 
Maxen Hook (13) and Emmanuel McNeil-Warren (12) led UT defenders with a combined 25 hits. 
Northern Illinois QB Josh Holst completed 22-of-46 pass attempts totaling 210 yards. Cam Thompson led Huskie receivers with five catches for 89 yards. 
Gavin Williams logged 16 carries for 78 yards for NIU’s 181-yard ground game. 


VANDERBILT 24, BALL STATE 14
NASHVILLE, TN -- Ball State (2-5, 1-2 MAC) stayed even with Vanderbilt (5-2, 2-1 SEC) through three quarters, but the Commodores scored 10 unanswered points in the final stanza to post a 24-14 win Saturday at FirstBank Stadium. 
Kiael Kelly’s 9-yard run midway through the first period put BSU on top. Vandy then hit two field goals before striking on a 41-yard pass play with 2:39 left before intermission. A successful two-point conversion left Vanderbilt in front 14-7.
Cardinal quarterback Kadin Semonza hit Tanner Koziol on a 7-yard TD pass play at 6:03 of the third quarter to tie the game. However, Vandy finished with 10 fourth quarter points for the win.

>> Semonza completed 21-of-29 attempts totaling 190 yards. 
>> Koziol led BSU with nine catches for 68 yards and a touchdown. 
>>> Joey Stemler led the Cardinal defense with 11 tackles. 
>>> Vanderbilt’s Diego Pavia threw for 275 yards and ran for 82, scoring one TD by ground and one through the air.


MIAMI 30, OHIO 20

OXFORD, OH -- Quarterback Brett Gabbert added to his success against Ohio Saturday as he tossed three touchdown passes to lead Miami past the Bobcats 30-20 at Yager Stadium. 
With his three TDs, Gabbert now has 12 career touchdown passes and just one interception when facing Ohio. It was the second straight game in which the senior did not throw an interception -- another sign that he is finding his groove after last year’s leg injury.
