PITTSBURGH 55, KENT STATE 24
PITTSBURGH, PA --
Visiting Kent State trailed 28-21 in the third quarter before Pitt went on a 27-3 run to defeat the Flashes 55-24 at Acrisure Stadium Saturday. 
Kent State was down 28-7 in the second quarter when Naim Muhammed returned a Panther fumble 34 yards for a TD. Chrishon McCray's 29-yard TD reception at 9:36 of the third quarter further closed the gap before Pitt put the game away.

>>> Pitt outgained the flashes 567-212 and owned a 31-15 edge in first downs. Pitt QB Eli Holstein completed 30 of 40 for a total of 333 yards with three TDs and one interception.
>>> KSU's Devin Kargman connected on 14 of 28 for 181 yards and two TDs with one pick. 
>>> Ky Thomas and Curtis Douglas combined for 66 yards rushing, but Kent State netted just 31 yards on the ground due to TFLs. 
>>> Luke Floriea led the Flashes with six catches for 104 yards.
>>> Alex Branch recorded an interception, which he returne ror 60 yards.

EASTERN MICHIGAN 28, MASSACHUSETTS 14
AMHERST, MA - Cole Snyder passed for one TD and ran for another to lead Eastern Michigan past Massachusetts 28-14 Saturday at Warren McGuirk Alumni Stadium.
It was a 14-7 game midway through the third quarter, but Jesus Gomez expanded the advantage with two field goals. Delbert Mimms III scored on a 6-yard run with 5:43 remaining in the contest to give the visitors a 18-7 lead. UMass capped its final drive with a 2-yard TD run by CJ Hester.

>>> Oran Singleton led EMU receivers with eight catches totaling 89 yards with one score. Terry Lockett Jr and Markus Allen combined for six catches and 141 yards. 
>>> Junior linebacker James Djonkam led all defenders with 13 tackles (1.5 TFL).
>>> Taisun Phommachanh completed 20 of 30 for 177 yards. He also ran 16 times for another 57 yards. 
>>> EMU  outgained UMass 375-329 overall.
>>> Neither team committed a turnover. UMass was penalized 10 times for 99 yards. EMU drew seven flags totaling 82 yards.

NORTHERN ILLINOIS 54, WESTERN ILLINOIS 15
DeKALB, IL -
The hosting Huskies rolled up 706 yards of offense and 30 first downs while overwhelming Western Illinois 54-15 Saturday at Huskie Stadium. 
Northern illinois led 6-3 after one period, but tallied four TDs before intermission for a 34-3 advantage. Two more TDs to start the third quarter pushed NIU's lead to 47-3.

>>> The Huskies' Ethan Hampton completed 18 of 20 passes totaling 328 yards with five TDs. 
>>> Trayvon Rudol and Grayson Barnes combined for nine receptions, 199 yards and two TDs. Eleven players caught at least one pass. 
>>> NIU totaled 312 yards rushing with three scores. Antario Brown led the way with eight carries for 69 yards. Trayvon Rudolph and Jaylen Poe combined for nine carries109 yards and two TDs. 
>>> NIU punted just once on the day. It comverted 7 of 8 third downs. WIU went 3 of 12. 
SYRACUSE 38, OHIO 22
SYRACUSE, NY --
The Bobcats led 6-0 early and trailed 17-16 in the third quarter before Syracuse ran off three straight TDs on the way to a 38-22 win over Ohio at the JMA Wireless Dome. 
Gianni Spetic booted three field goals and Anthony Tyus III tallied both Bobcats TDs.

>>> Tyuss carried 16 times for a total of 203 yards. Ohio registered 255 yards on the ground overall. 
>>> Ohio QB Parker Navarro completed 18 of 30 tosses totaling 181 yards with one interception.
>>> Coleman Owen caught 10 balls for a total of 137 yards. 
>>> Junior safety Austin Brawley led all defenders with 12 tackles (9 solo). 
>> The Syracuse defense recorded four sacks and 10 TFL. 
>>> Although Ohio limited the Orange to 126 yards on the ground, Syracuse passed for 354 yards and four TDs.

NO. 2 OHIO STATE 52, AKRON 6
COLUMBUS, OH --
Garrison Smith's 48-yard field goal midway through the first quarter gave Akron a 3-0 lead, but the nation's No. 2 team took over after that and finished with a 52-6 victory Saturday at Ohio Stadium.
Smith accounted for all of Akron's scoring, hitting two long field goals. His third quarter boot was good from 49 yards. 
Ohio State forced three turnovers while playing turnover-free football. OSU recorded two interceptions and one fumble recovery. 
>> The Buckeyes defense limited UA to 47 yards rushing  (1.3 ypc). 
>>> Three Akron quarterbacks saw action. Tahj Bullock completed 9 of 13 for 68 yards. Ben Finley was 8 of 14, good for 53 yards with one interception. Freshman Brayden Roggow hit one of two passes (9 yards) and was picked off. 
>>> Bullock led Akron rushing with 42 of the Zips 47 yards rushing. 
>>> Daymon David (6, 5 solo), CJ Nunnally IV (5) and Antavious Fish (5) led Akron defenders in tackles. 
NORTHWESTERN 13, MIAMI 6
EVANSTON, ILL --
Northwestern's defense limited Miami to a net 40 yards rushing and picked off two fourth quarter passes to preserve a 13-6 in over the RedHawks Saturday at Martin Field.
