• Miami's defense and special teams allowed the RedHawks to stay within three points through intermission. However, the Badgers offense finally broke through for single TDs in each of the final two quarters.
• Danny O'Neil came off the bench to spark Wisconsin after starting QB Bily Edwards Jr. left after a first half injury. O'Neil completed 12-of-19 passes for 120 yards with one TD and one interception.
• UW out-gained the RedHawks 353-117 overall and had a 23-7 edge in first downs. Miami went 0-for-9 on third down and had the ball for just 20:47, while the Badgers were on offense for 39.13.
• Miami netted just 34 yards rushing while averaging 1.5 ypc.
• Making his first start for Miami, Dequann Finn completed 9-of-18 passes for 83 yards with two interceptions. The first pick set up Wisconsins final TD. The second ended a late Miami drive that had reached field goal range. Both balls were picked off by Preston Zachman.
• Cole Weaver recorded three catches totaling 35 yards to lead RedHawk receivers.
• Silas Walters picked off a Badgers pass in the end zone to thwart UW's opening drive of the third quarter.
• Walters and Eli Blakey led Miami with eight tackles. Corban Hondru notched seven stops, while Adam Trick recorded six tackles and two sacks.
• The RedHawks face another Big Ten foe on the road next week when they meet Rutgers.
RUTGERS 34, OHIO 31
After trailing 31-14, Ohio scored 17 straight points to tie the contest with 4:07 left in the third quarter. However, Rutgers scored the only points of the fourth quarter on a 26-yard Jai Patel field goal with 11:11 to play.
• Ohio QB Parker Navarro completed 21-of-31 passes totaling 239 yards with three TDs. He also led Bobcat rushers with nine carries totaling 93 yards and a score.
• Chase Hendricks top Ohio receivers with nine catches for 115 yards. Jake Bruno caught a pair of TDs.
• Sieh Bangura logged 16 carries for 86 yards in his return to action as a Bobcat.
• Athan Kaliakmans completed 18-of-23 pases for 252 yards and two TDs to lead the Scarlet Knights.
• Ohio hosts West Virginia next week.
BOWLING GREEN 26, LAFAYETTE 7
Cameron Pettaway returned the opening kickoff 98 yards for a TD and Bowling Green went on to defeat Lafayette 26-7. It was the first collegiate coaching win for new head coach and former Heisman Trophy winner Eddie George.
• The Falcons led 17-0 and intermission and added a field goal before Lafayette scored its only touchdown of the game.
• Jackson Kleather, who booted a 56-yard third quarter, finished the game's scoring with a 39-yard effort in the final period.
• Falcons QB Drew Pyne completed 12-of-18 passes totaling 109 yards.
• Kaderris Roberts led Bowling Green rushing with 66 yards, while Chris McMillan added another 45.
• No Falcon receiver had more than two catches and eight players owned just one reception.
• The BGSU defense held Lafayette to 59 yards rushing.
Leopards quarterbacks were just 15-of-28 passing for 118 yards and a TD.
WYOMING 10, AKRON 0
Erik Sandvik's second quarter field goal and a 35-yard Chris Durr Jr. TD pass to Kaden Anderson with 4:26 to play were the only scores in a tight battle.
• Wyoming out-gained the hosting Zips 426-228, but the Cowboys went 9-for-20 on third down. Akron was just 3-of-15.
• UA's Ben Finley completed 16-of-38 for 139 yards. Sean Patrick led Akron receivers with four catches totaling 47 yards.
• Akron totaled 89 yards on the ground. The Cowboys gained 166 on the ground and 260 through the air.
MINNESOTA 23, BUFFALO 10
Buffalo trailed 13-10 early in the fourth quarter, but mosting Minnesota tallied the final 10 points.
• The Golden Gophers out-gained UB 443-151 overall and owned a 27-8 advantage in first downs. Buffalo concerted just 1-of-11 third downs, while UM went 9-of-16.
• Buffalo QB Ta'Quan Roberson completed 12-of-20 passes totaling 107 yards with a TD.
• Victor Snow had five receptions totaling 67 yards and a score. The Bulls totaled 44 yards on the ground.
• Red Murdock and Dion Crawford combined for 30 tackles with one sack.
• Jack Howes connected on 1-of-2 field goals (36 yards).
