MAC Football Co-Defensive Players of the Week
Gideon Lampron, Bowling Green, LB
Junior, LaGrange, Ohio (Keystone)

His 13 total tackles and 10 solo tackles were the most in the MAC this week, while both his solo stops and tackles for loss ranked tied for second among all FBS players over the weekend. Anchoring a resilient BGSU defense, Lampron helped the Falcons hold Toledo to just 121 total yards in the second half -- 69 in the third quarter and 52 in the fourth -- while pitching a shutout as Bowling Green erased a 21-0 deficit to earn its first-ever win after trailing by 21 or more points.

Eastern Michigan’s Rudy Kessinger tied his career-high with three field goals (35, 49 and 28) as he was a perfect 3-of-3 on the day while adding one extra point for 10 points in the game, marking his third game with 10+ points this season. Kessinger’s first two kicks gave the Eagles their first two leads of the game (3-0 and 6-3) before his third added to a late 13-10 lead to make it 16-10 with 5:40 to play. Kessinger, who is averaging 2.0 field goals per game, leads the MAC with 8.3 points per game, 58 total points, and 14 field goals.
