With just four wins to their credit, the Ball State Cardinals will be home during bowl season. However, when they look back on their 2025 campaign, they can still recall some fond moments. The best might have come Oct. 4 when BSU upset defending MAC champion Ohio 20-14 in Muncie.
Reverberations from that day . . . CONTINUE
The Rockets and Chippewas own identical records: 7-4 overall and 5-2 MAC. Both are safely bowl eligible, but both entered the week as part of a complex battle for the a MAC Championship game berth.
Western Michigan needed only to win against rival Eastern Michigan to solidify one spot. One thing was clear about the remaining spot, each contender's chances started with a win in this week.
• • • • • CENTRAL MICHIGAN (7-4, 5-2 MAC) has won four of its last five, with the only loss coming at Western Michigan (24-21) back on Nov. 1. Most recently, the Chippewas defeated Kent State 28-16.
