WEEK 8 GAME ACTION RESULTS, NOTE

TOLEDO 45, KENT STATE 10
TOLEDO, OH --
Visiting Kent State (2-5, 1-2 MAC) scored the first 10 points, but Toledo (4-3, 2-2 MAC) ran off the next 45 for a 45-10 victory Saturday at the Glass Bowl. 
Senior QB Tucker Gleason scompleted 21 of 28 pass attempts for a total of 294 yards and four TDs. Kalieb Osborne went a perfect 4 for 4, good for 80 yards and another score in relief. 
Tayvon Rudolph topped UT receivers with 5 catches, 119 yards and a TD. Junior Vandeross III added 76 yards on a score among his eight receptions. 
The Rockets run game also thrived, contributing `78 yards, including 113 by Kenji Christian on 16 carries. 
While Toledo produced 552 yards of offense overall, Kent State generated 224 yards. Most came through the air as Dru DeShields cmpleted 12 of 23 for 159 yards with one TD and one INT. 
Cade Wolford led KSU receivers with three catches totaling 87 yards. Seventy-five of those came on the first play from scrimmage as DeShields found Wolford for a long TD
Toledo led 17-10 at intermission and pulled away with 21 points in the third quarter before adding a final TD iwith 5:11 remaining.

CENTRAL MICHIGAN 27, BOWLING GREEN 6
BOWLING GREEN, OH --
The Chippewas  defense forced two turnovers and held Bowling Green (4-3, 2-1 MAC)  to a pair of field goals in a 27-6 Central Michigan (4-3, 2-1 MAC) win Saturday at Doyt L. Perry Stadium. It was the third win in for weeks for CMU, which fell at Akron last week. 
The Chippewas completed just three passes for 73 yards -- 72 on one play. However, they ran for 203 yards and three scores. 
Angel Flores provided all three tDs and led the CMU ground game with 18 carries totaling 72 yards. Nahree Biggins and Brock Townsent combined for 83 yards on 16 trips. 
Jordan Kwiatowski and Jaion Jackson recorded interceptions for the Chippewas defense. 
BGSU had a balanced offense with 153 yards in the air and another 157 on the ground. However, in addition to throwing two interceptions, the Falcons committed 15 penalties totaling 125 yards. 
Lucian Anderson completed 17 of 25 passes and led BGSU rushing with 11 carries for 53 yards. Cameron Pettaway added 48 yards on nine carries.

BUFFALO 28, MASSACHUSETTS 21
AMHERST, MA --
The Minutemen's bid to break a season-long winless streak fell short as bisiting Buffalo (4-3, 3-0 MAC) came from behind to defeat UMass 28-21 Saturday at Warren McGuirk Alumni Stadium. UB is one of three MAC teams without a conference loss. Miami and Wesern Michigan are also 3-0 (MAC). 
UMass (0-7, 0-3 MAC) led 14-3 in the second quarter and 21-17 with 5:37 remaining in the third period. However, Jack Howes hit a 47-yard field goal for UB late in the quarter and the Bulls pulled in front on Ta'Quan Roberson's 16-yard pass to Victor Snow with 19 seconds left in the game. A successful two-point conversion put Buffalo in front 28-21. 
•  Buffalo was limited to 72 yards rushing -- 59 by Al-Jay Henderson (20 carries). However, Roberson threw 55 passes, completing 36 for 403 yards and two scores (1 INT). 
•  Nik McMillian (10 catches, 119 yards) and Snow (8 receptions, 112 yards, 2 TDs) led UB receivers. 
•  Freshman RB Brandon Hood had a big day for the Minutemen, logging 24 carries for a total of 179 yards (7.5 ypc) with one TD. 
UMass QB AJ Hairston connected on 6 of 14 atempts, good for 119 yards and two scores. Five receivers combined for six catches totaling 119 yards. Max Dowling scored on a 77-yard TD and Kezion Dia-Johnson reached paydirt from 27 yards out.

OHIO 48, NORTHERN ILLINOIS 21
ATHENS, OH --
The Bobcats leaned into their ground game for 333 of 538 yards on offense as Ohio (4-3, 2-1 MAC) cruised past Northern Illinois (1-6, 0-3 MAC) 48-21 Saturday at Peden Stadium. 
It was a bounce-back win for Ohio, which was upset at Ball State two weeks ago. After a bye week, the 'Cats came back ready to run. Sieh Bangura carried 22 times for 147 yards and three scores. duncan Brune logged 16 carries for a total of 126 yards and two scores.
• Quarterback Parker Navaro. registered 43 carries (1 TD) on nine rushes. He passed for 205 yards (1 INT) while completing 17 of 23 attempts. 
While Ohio churned out 27 first downs, NIU registered 15 first downs and 293 yards of total offense. 
• QB Josh Holst completed 21 of 29 attempts totaling 161 yards with two TDs.  DeAree Rogers led Huskie receiving with seven catches for 107 yards and a score. 
• Telly Johnson Jr and Holst combined for 22 rushes and 112 yards. 
• Ohio opened up a 21-0 lead and led 21-8 at intermission. Although Nothern Illinois scored 13 second half points, the Bobcats extended their advantage and finished the contest with Jalen Thomeson's 91-yard rumble return.

BALL SATE 48, NORTHERN ILLINOIS 21
MUNCIE, IN --
Kiael Kelly ran for three touchdowns and passed for another as  Ball State (3-4, 2-1 MAC) rallied in the second half to defeat Akron (2-6, 1-3 MAC) 42-28 Saturday at Scheumann Stadium. 
The Zips led 15-14 at intermission Thanks to Ben Finley's 37-yard TD pass to Kyan Mason with 1:26 remaining in the second period. 
Qua Ashley's 69-yard run at 9:54 of the third quarter moved BSU in front and the Cardinals led 35-28 after an Akron field goal with 5:47 left to play.. TJ Horton's 90-yard kickioff return sealed the Ball State victory.
• BSU's Ashley led all rushers with 20 carries for 143 yards and a TD. 
• Koby Gross caught three passes totaling 81 yards with a score. 
• Akron quarterback Ben Finley completed 22 of 40 atempts for 291 yards with three touchdowns and two picks. 
• UA receivers Tim Grear and Israel Polk combined for nine catches, 159 yards and two TDs.

MIAMI 44, EASTERN MICHIGAN 30

OXFORD, OH --
Eastern Michigan (2-6, 1-3 MAC) Senior Noah Kim threw for a season-high four touchdowns and 309 yards, but Miami QB Dequan Finn produced four TDs of his own as the RedHawks pulled out a 44-30 win Saturday at Yager Stadium. 
Miami, one of three teams still unbeaten in MAC play, never trailed. However, a costly RedHawk turnover and several big plays by Kim allowed the visitors to trail by just seven points at interrmission.
