KENT STATE 24, BOWLING GREEN 21
KENT, OH -
After trailing 21-3 in the third quarter, Kent State (3-5, 2-2 MAC) reeled off 21 straight points to pull out a 24-21 win over Bowling Green (3-5, 1-3 MAC) Saturday at Dix Stadium.
Wayne Harris tallied the game-winner on a 12-yard pass from WR DaRealyst Clark with 3:34 remaining. 
• KSU quarterback Dru DeShields completed 13 of 22 passes for 160 yards and one TD. Cade Wolford recorded two catches for 66 yards and a TD. • Dashawn Martin and Wayne Harris combined for 10 receptions, 88 yards and a score. Gavin Garcia carried six times for 53 yards and a TD. 
• BGSU used QB Baron May (12/22, 142 yards 1 TD) and Hunter Najm (2/4, 30 yards).
• Jyrin Johnson recorded three catches for 53 yards. Jacob Harris caught one TD pass among his two receptions. 
• The Falcons produced 207 yards and two TDs on the ground. Austyn Dendy led the way with 20 carries for 93 yards and a score.
• Kent State won despite going just 4 of 12 on third down, while BGSU converted 12 of 18. The Flashes were two of two on fourth down gambles.

OHIO 28, EASTERN MICHIGAN 21
YPSILANTI, MI --
Ohio trailed 14-7 at intermission but scored 21 straight second half points on the way to a 28-21 win over Eastern Michigan Saturday at Rynearson Stadium. 
With the win, the Bobcats moved to 3-1 in conference play. That leaves them in a four-team tie for second -- one game behind Miami, which is now the only unbeaten team in MAC competition. The Two teams meet in Athens next week.
• Quarterback Parker Navarro completed 23 of 28 passes, good for 315 yards with two TDs and two INTs. He also ran 17 times for 53 yards. 
• Sieh Bangura led Ohio rushing with 18 carries for 100 yards with two scores. 
• Chase Hendricks (10 catches, 2 TDs, 113 yards) and Rodney Harris II (6 catches, 103 yards) both eclipsed the century mark. 
• Eastern Michigan QB Noah Kim completed 21 of 30 rosses for 259 yards and two touchdowns. Both went to Nick Devereaux, who recorded five receptions totaling 121 yards. 
• Dontae McMillan logged 10 carries for 49 yards. 
• Juan Salas and Tyrelle Deener each picked off a Bobcat pass.

AKRON 24, BUFFALO 16
BUFFALO, NY --
Visiting Akron (3-6, 2-3 MAC) trailed 10-3 at intermission but outscored Buffalo (4-4, 3-1 MAC) 21-6 in the second half for a 34-16 victory Saturday at  UB Stadium. 
It was the first conference loss for Buffalo, which dropped into a four-way tie for second behind MAC undefeated Miami (4-0 MAC). Akron broke a two-game losing streak while picking up its first league win since Oct. 4 against Central Michigan.
• It was a sloppy game, with Buffalo (3) and Akron (5) combining for eight turnovers and 13 penalties for 118 yards. Both teams also struggled on third down, with the Zips converting 2 of 14 chances and UB going 2 for 12. 
• Akron QB Ben Finley completed 17 of 32 pass attempts totaling 230 yards with two TDs and one INT. 
• Marcel Williams led UA with six catches for 74 yards. 
• Jordan Gant carried 25 times for 92 of the Zips 95 yards rushing. 
• Buffalo QB Ta'Quan Roberson connected on 23 of 36 attempts, good for 266 yards with one TD. He was intercepted four times. Akron's Gage Summers picked off two of the INTs. 
• Nik McMillan caught eight passes totaling 177 yards. Victor Snow had seven for 56 yards. 
Red Murdock registered 13 tackles (5 solo, 1.5 sacks) for UB. Akron's defense was led by Melvin Springs (14 tackles, 8 solo, 2.5 sacks, 3.5 TFL).

WASHINGTON STATE 28, TOLEDO 7
PULLMAN, WA --
The Cougars scored 21 second quarter points and added another TD in the final period as Washington State (4-4) defeated visiting Toledo 28-7 Saturday at Martin Stadium. 
With the loss, UT (4-4, 2-2 MAC) wrapped up its non-conference schedule. The Cougars evened their own record at 4-4 while breaking a two-game slide -- both against Top 25 opponents. 
• The Rockets were held to 61 yards rushing, 33 of which came from Kenji Christian on 11 carries.
• Quarterback Tucker Gleason completed 26 of 41 passes totaling 238 yards with one TD and one INT. 
• Three UT receivers had at least five catches. Jacob Peterson Jacob Peterson caught five for 58 yards. Junior Vandeross III recorded seven catches for 52 yards and a TD. 
• WSU quarterback Zevi Eckhaus completed 10 of 22 pass attempts with two TDs and two interceptions. Both picks went to UTs Braden Awls. 
• Toledo's only touchdown was a 24-yard second quarter toss from Gleason to Vandeross just before intermission. Neither team scored again until WSU added a final TD with 2:21 remaining in the final stanza.

NORTHERN ILLINOIS 21, BALL STATE 7
DeKALB, IL --
Hosting Northern Illinois (2-6, 1-3 MAC) broke a six-game losing streak and picked up its first conference victory with a 21-7 win over Ball State (3-5, 2-2 MAC) Saturday at Huskie Stadium. 
Telly Johnson's 52-yard run on the Huskies third play from scrimmage put NIU up early. 
Ball State evened the score with Kiael Kelly's 1-yard pass to Drew Carson early in the second period. However, that was BSU's only score of the day. Northern Illinois added single touchdowns in each of the final two periods. 
• Josh Holst threw just 11 passes for NIU, completing six for 65 yards with one TD and one INT. 
• DeAree Rogers was the only Huskie with muliple receptions. He caught three balls for 43 yards and a TD. 
• Northern Illinois ran the ball 57 times for 305 yards and two scores. Chavon Wright (37 carries, 166 yards) and Telly Johnson Jr. (15 carries, 100 yards, 1 TD) led the way. 
• Kelly connected on 10 of 23 passes, good for 136 yards and one TD. However, he was intercepted twice - once each by James Finley and Jasper Beeler.

CENTRAL MICHIGAN 38, MASSACHUSETTS 13
MOUNT PLEASANT, MI --
Central Michigan (5-3, 3-1 MAC) broke out to a 21-7 first quarter lead and went on to down UMass (0-8, 0-4 MAC) 38-13 Saturday at Kelly/Shorts Stadium.
It was the fourth win in five games for CMU, which is part of a four-way tie for second place in the conference. UMass, meanwhile, has dropped all eight outings this year. The Minutemen have now lost 12 straight dating back to 2024. 
It was a 24-10 game at halftime, but the Chippewas run for two TDs before UMass added its final three points on a third quarter field goal. Neither team scored in the final period. 
• Central Michigan outgained UMass 502-292 overall but had just three more first downs( 23-20).
• Joe Labas completed 10 of 11 for 148 yards and two TDs. Angel Flores added 75 yards while connecting on both his passes. 
• Brock Townsend and Langston Lewis combined for four catches, 135 yards and a TD. 
• The CMU defense recorded three sacks and seven TFL. Kalen Carroll had an interception.
• UMass quarterback AJ Hairtson threw 51, passes, completing 21 for 176 yards with one pick. Kezion Dia-Johnson caught three balls for 41 yards. 
• Massachusetts totaled 116 yards and a TD on the ground. Rocko Griffin led the way with seven carries for 56 yards and a score. 
• UMass' Zeraun Daniel and Tyler Martin combined for 23 tackles (12 solo) 
• Jordan Kwiatkowski led CMU with 10 tackles (1, solo, 1 TFL).

MIAMI 28, WESTERN MICHIGAN 17

OXFORD, OH -- After getting largely stymied by a tough Western Michigan (4-4, 3-1 MAC) defense for three quarters, the Miami RedHawks (5-3, 4-0 MAC) rallied for 17 in the final stanza to pull out a 26-17 win Saturday at Yager Stadium.  The victory moved MU into sole possession of first place. However, the RedHawks must face Ohio, Toledo and Buffalo before finishing against Ball State.

Saturday's 
matchup brought together two teams with 3-0 MAC records. It also featured two of the league's better defenses, and those units showed their strengths through much of Saturday's battle.
