EASTERN MICHIGAN EAGLES (2-6, 0-4 MAC)
● The Eagles owned a 24-10 fourth quarter lead on Northern Illinois in their last outing. NIU then rallied to tie the contest at 24-all. Eastern settled for a field goal in overtime. The Huskies managed to respond with a ;game-winning TD.
● Ian Erickson provided 81 of EMU’s 96 rushing yards against Northern. The junior owns four of five Eastern Michigan rushing scores.
● Sergio Bailey II tops the Eagles receiving corps with 44 catches for 653 yards with five TDs. His average of 81.6 ypg is fouth best in the MAC.
● Eastern has produced 13 passing TDs and five rushing scores.
● Sophomore Vince Calhoun is tied for 12th (MAC) with 58 tackles.
● The Cardinals 17 points against Toledo last Thursday was the most Ball State points since a 33-21 loss at Western Kentucky. BSU scored 28 points in a win over Tennessee Tech the previous week and 51 while cruising past UAB Sept. 9.
● Freshman Drew Pitt saw his first action last week, completing 15 of 34 passes for 97 yards. He is the likely starter this week. Quarterback Riley Neal played in three games earlier this year before being lost to an injury. Senior Jack Milas went down against Central Michigan Oct. 21.
● Ball State rolled up 204 yards rushing against Toledo. Freshman Caleb Huntley was the workhorse, logging 24 carries for 91 yards.
● Freshman Justin Hall is the Cardinals top receiver. His 53 catches for 529 yards is double any other receiver on the squad. He also has two of five BSU touchdown receptions.
