Ohio Bobcat linebacker Blair Brown was chosen by the Jacksonville Jaguars as the No. 148th overall pick in the 2017 National Football League Draft Saturday. He was the fourth pick of the fifth round and was the seventh Mid-American Conference Player drafted.

. . . Bobcat drafted, as Tarell Basham was taken 80th overall by the Indianapolis Colts yesterday. This marks the first time since 1972 that Ohio has had multiple players drafted in the same season.
Brown was named First Team All-Mid-American Conference after leading the Bobcats with 128 tackles last season and had 59 solo stops. He also had 15.0 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks with a forced fumble.
Following the season, Brown was named an All-American by Pro Football Focus and was invited to participate in the 2017 NFL Combine. At the Combine, Brown had the top vertical jump and 20-yard shuttle for the linebacker group and had a top-five time in the 40-yard dash.
