>> Five turnovers by Central Michigan helped Buffalo stampede the Chippewas. But CMU helped the Bulls in other ways, as well. While UB had three penalties for 15 total yards, Central was flagged nine times for 53 yards.
Buffalo converted 8 of 15 third down tries, the Chippewas were good on just 3 of 13.
>> Buffalo picked up 179 of its 376 yards on the ground.
>> The Bulls stunned CMU with a 27-point second quarter and outscored the Chippewas 3-0 in the third period to further take control heading after intermission.
>> Quarterback Kyle Vantrease completed 13 of 25 attempts for 179 yards with two TDs and one interception.
>> Jaret Patterson averaged 5.3 yards per carry against CMU, picking up 149 yards and a TD. He also caught two passes, picking up another 59 yards.
>> Antonio Nunn grabbed five aerials for 77 total yards and two touchdowns.
>> Senior safety Joey Banks led the Bulls defensive effort with 10 tackles (9 solo). Banks and Kadofi Wright each recorded an interception, with the latter returning his pick 40 yards.

>> After trailing 10-0, EMU scored 10 straight to tie Toledo at halftime last week. Toledo then ran off 21 straight third quarter points, only to see Eastern again answer -- this time with 21 of their own points.
Toledo trailed just once all day, and that was when EMU scored on a field goal in overtime. That, however, was not enough as the Rockets followed with a game-winning touchdown.
>> The Eagles struggled to stop UT’s running game as the Rockets picked up 366 yards on the ground.
>> After a slow first quarter (26 total yards), Eastern opened up the offense behind quarterback Mike Glass III. In total 30 of 37 EMU pass attempts and 272 of 286 total passing yards came in quarters two through four.
>> Senior WR Arthur Jackson has caught six touchdown passes in his last nine games. In his two seasons at EMU, Jackson has 74 receptions for 1,048 yards and nine TDs.
>> Sophomore WR Quian Williams registered a career-best nine receptions (87 yards with a career-long 41-yarder).
>> The Eagles have now lost seven consecutive overtime games. EMU’s last overtime win was in 2013, when it bested Western Michigan 35-32.
>> Eastern has attempted 10 two-point conversions this season. It’s previous high was four. The Eagles are 3 of 3 on rushing PATs, but just 1 of 7 on passing attempts.
