CENTRAL CONNECTICUT
>> The Blue Devils shook off three victories to open 2017 to win their next eight outings. It was good enough to earn a first-ever NCAA playoff berth. New Hampshire shut out CCSU 14-0 in that encounter.
>> Offense should be the Blue Devils strength, especially early. Nine starters return on that side of the ball. Quarterback Jacob Dolegala completed 145 of 274 passes last season, good for 1,953 yards. Running back Drew Jean-Guillaume also returns and there are three all-league linemen back up front.
>> It’s a different story on the defensive side, where just four starters return. Lineman Chris Tinkham and linebacker Kenneth Keen – both second team All NEC head that group.
