PREVIEW: Northern Illinois at Vanderbilt

9/25/2019

Picture
It’s been nearly a month since Northern Illinois celebrated a victory, and the Huskies certainly don’t want their drought to continue. Coming off a bye week, they should be rarin’ to go for Saturday’s matchup against hosting Vanderbilt.
Of course, the Commodores are themselves victory-starved. They have not won any of their three outings in 2019. Two of the . . .

. . . losses, however, were against Southeastern Conference teams. Life in the SEC is tough enough, but the two setbacks came against No. 3 Georgia (30-6) and No. 4 LSU (66-38).
In between those two home losses, Vandy dropped a road game at Purdue (42-24).
