BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State Falcons overcame a 19-point deficit in the first half to pick up a wild 70-62 victory over Kent State on Saturday afternoon at the Stroh Center.
Bowling Green improves to 14-9 (5-5 MAC) on the season, and surpassed last season's win total. Kent State, fresh off an upset of MAC East leader Buffalo Tuesday, falls to 12-11 (6-4 MAC).

. . . the first half before redshirt-freshman guard Justin Turner scored the final 14 points of the half for the Falcons. That pulled BGSU within seven points at 31-24 halftime.
Turner scored the 14 points on 5-of-5 shooting, and did so over just 4:40 of clock time. He nailed a three-pointer to pull the Falcons within 16 at the 4:40 mark, while his spurt ended when he hit a step-jack jumper at the first-half buzzer.
The Orange and Brown went on to outscore the Golden Flashes by a 46-31 mark in the second half to cap off the comeback. After shooting 27.3 percent (9-of-33) in the first period, the Falcons shot 60.0 percent (18-of-30) in the second half.
"Once we settled down, and started to make some shots, and we really started to defend -- once we started to defend, we were able to get out in transition and get some easy buckets," Bowling Green head coach Michael Huger said.
Turner finished with a team-high 20 points. Junior forward Demajeo Wiggins added 13 points and nine rebounds, while sophomore guard Rodrick Caldwell (12 points) and junior guard Antwon Lillard (11 points) also scored in double figures.
Adonis De La Rosa and Jaylin Walker tied for Kent State scoring honors, each providing 20 points. The former made 7 of 11 shots from the field, while Walker contributed five of six KSU 3-point goals.
