Western Michigan offensive lineman Taylor Moton became the second Bronco selected in the 2017 NFL Draft, being taken by the Carolina Panthers 64th overall in the second round. . . . Western Michigan record for most games started in a career, starting in all 52 games since his freshman season. In 2016 he was selected to play in the Reese's Senior Bowl in Mobile after earning All-America selections from the Football Writers Association of America, Phil Steele and the American Football Coaches Association.
Moton was named the All-MAC First-Team, and was a 2016 MAC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete.
Moton joins former Bronco Willie Beavers as the second offensive lineman in as many years to be drafted. Beavers was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings last season in the fourth round. He becomes the 11th WMU offensive lineman overall to be drafted.
