Bowling Green, following the win, moves to . . .
With just 2:59 left in regulation, Eastern Michigan held a 55-54 lead. On Bowling Green's ensuing possession, redshirt-junior guard Justin Turner drilled a floater with 2:40 to play, giving the Falcons a 56-55 lead.
Junior Daeqwon Plowden then hit a jumper with 1:27 left on the clock, but a pair of EMU free throws with 1:11 to play in the ballgame pulled with Eagles within a single point at 58-57.
Turner then scored four-straight points, hitting a tough layup with 44 seconds to go. After a steal from senior guard Dylan Frye, Turner cashed in on two free throws with 18 seconds left in the second half, inching the BGSU lead up to 62-57. EMU made a dunk as time expired to conclude the game's scoring.
Turner led the Falcons with 25 points on 9-of-18 shooting. The native of Detroit had seven rebounds, as well. Plowden finished with 17 points and nine rebounds for the Orange and Brown.
Boubacar Toure led EMU with with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Noah Morgan also reached double figures with 16 points.
