Rourke led the Bobcats to a 41-38 victory over the Florida Atlantic Owls, marking their first win of the 2022 season. Rourke also broke multiple personal records, setting two career highs. The redshirt junior hit 345 passing yards, surpassing his 308 yard record and threw four touchdown passes, beating his previous record of three. Overall, Rourke was 27-for-34 in the air. On the ground, he netted 11 yards on 14 rushing attempts with one touchdown, putting him at five total.

Marcus Fuqua, Buffalo, Safety
Junior, Southfield, MI (Southfield A&T)
Marcus Fuqua had four tackles, an interception and a pass breakup in Buffalo's game against Maryland. He was able to return his interception for 23 yards against the Terrapins.
MAC East Division Special Teams Player of the Week
Nathanial Vakos, Ohio, Kicker
Freshman, Avon, Ohio
Vakos made his collegiate debut in the Bobcats' 41-38 victory over Florida Atlantic. The freshman kicker was 2-for-2 on field goals, putting Ohio on the board in the first quarter with a 29-yard kick. With 1:24 remaining in the second quarter, Vakos' second field goal attempt hit its mark, this time from 36 yards. He was also 5-for-5 his PAT attempts
MAC West Division Offensive Player of the Week
Daniel Richardson, Central Michigan, Quarterback
Sophomore, Miami, Fla. / Carol City
Richardson completed 36 of 49 pass attempts for 424 yards and four touchdowns. His completions, attempts and yards were career highs and he tied his career high in TD tosses. Richardson triggered an offense that produced 44 points against a defense that ranked fifth in the nation a year ago.

Eric Rogers, NIU, Cornerback
Sophomore, Burlington, NJ (Burlington Township HS)
Cornerback Eric Rogers became the first Huskie to record two interceptions in a game since 2018 with a pair of picks in NIU's win over Eastern Illinois. His first INT came at the EIU 35-yard line and set up a Huskie TD two plays later. His second INT came on the Panthers' next drive with an interception at the NIU two-yard line to stop the Panthers. Rogers, who missed the last nine games of last season due to injury, is the first Huskie with two INTs in a game since Jalen McKie versus Akron on 11-1-18.

Mitchell Tomasek, Eastern Michigan, Punter
Sophomore, Columbus, Ohio (Worthington Kilbourne)
Mitchell Tomasek made his collegiate debut with the Green and White against Eastern Kentucky Friday night, punting three times in the game for 126 total yards. Tomasek averaged 42 yards per boot while placing one kick inside the 20 as he angled his punt toward the sideline and out of bounds to pin the Colonels on their own three-yard line. Tomasek also logged a best of 51 yards to help flip the field for the Eagles.
