ATHENS, OH – Craig Bradshaw’s floating bank shot with 0.2 seconds left was the difference Saturday as Belmont pulled out an 83-81 win over Ohio at the Convocation Center.
The game-winning bucket culminated a huge night for Bradshaw, who put up 42 points. The 6-3, 210-pound junior connected on 14 of 22 overall, 8 of 12 from behind the arc and 6 of 6 at the line. He is averaging 19.0 ppg. on the season.
Joining him in double figures were forwards Nick Smith (15) and Evan Bradds (10).
Ohio (2-2) was paced by guard Javarez Willis. He totaled 25 points on 10 of 19 from the field, 5 of 13 from distance and no free throws. Guards Stevie Taylor (17) and Ryan Taylor (16) also reached double figures. Maurice Daly Ndour fell just shy of a double-double with 10 rebounds and nine points.

The visitors were up by as much as 11 in the first half, holding a 28-17 lead with 9:59 left. Ohio fought back and led 41-37 after a Willis trey at 2:20. However, Belmont (6-1) scored the final six points of the period, culminated by a Smith three with two seconds left for a 44-41 halftime advantage.
Neither team could pull away in the final stanza, and Ohio’s last lead came on a Ndour dunk at 0:53.
