BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Buffalo Bulls used a 20-7 run to close out a win on Saturday afternoon as the Bulls defeated Bowling Green, 68-56, at the Stroh Center.  The victory was UB's ninth true road win this year, setting a new school record.  UB is now 17-9 on the year and 8-6 in MAC play. Bowling Green (17-8, 9-5 MAC) dropped its second in a row – both on the home hardwood.

Bowling Green owned a 9-7 edge when the Bulls went on a 10-0 run, which included back-to-back three pointers from sophomore Shannon Evans.   A free throw from Justin Moss with 3:09 left in the half gave the Bulls their largest lead as they doubled up the Falcons at 34-17.  UB took a 36-22 lead into the half.

At the break, UB held on to a 27-13 advantage on the boards and limited BG to just 2-of-12 from three point range.

Bowling Green came back in the second half, though, and cut into the UB lead, pulling within one possession at 48-45 with 8:00 minutes left.

A jumper by Jehvon Clarke with 7:15 left put Bowling Green ahead 49-48, but unlike some previous games, the Bulls answered back.  Two free throws from Jarryn Skeete put the Bulls back ahead with 6:33 left.

Bowling Green continued to trail and was down one at 52-51 when the Bulls scored four straight.

Due to foul trouble, Bowling Green moved into a zone over the final four minutes. Buffalo found success as Evans and Skeete each hit three pointers, the second giving the Bulls a 62-54 lead with 2:33 left.

Four straight points from freshman Lamonte Bearden increased the UB lead to 66-54, and the teams traded free throws late as UB held on for the 68-56 win.

Evans finished with a game-high 19 points as he went 5-for-6 from behind the arc.  Skeete added 15 points and six rebounds, while Moss finished with a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds, his twelfth of the year.  Moss went 11-of-12 from the free throw line.

Senior Xavier Ford finished with eight points and six rebounds, while Bearden had seven points and four assists.  Senior Will Regan added four points and four rebounds off the bench.

Defensively, the Bulls held Bowling Green to 4-of-20 from behind the arc.  UB held a huge advantage on the boards 43-31, including 16 offensive rebounds.

Four Falcons reached double figures, led by Richaun Holmes’ 15 points. Jehvon Clarke added 12, Spencer Parker 11 and Delvin Dickson 10.

The Bulls return home on Tuesday night as they host Akron at 7:00 pm.
