Senior Thomas Wilder, who scored his 2,000 career point during the game, paced the Broncos with 22 points. Seth Dugan came off the bench to score 16 points, while Reggie Jones added 14.
Western Michigan connected on 42.9 percent from the field but had two more field goals than CMU, which made 25 of 51 (49%). However, the Chippewas made 12 of 26 (46.2%) from distance, compared to 5 of 19 (26.3%) for Western.
