ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Shawn Roundtree scored 15 points to lead a balanced attack on Saturday as the Central Michigan men's basketball won the Great Alaska Shootout with a 75-72 victory over Cal State Bakersfield.

The Chippewas (5-1) got 14 points from Luke Meyer, 13 from David DiLeo, and 12 from Cecil Williams. Roundtree had six assists, while DiLeo grabbed six rebounds.
Meyer and Williams were named to the All-Tournament Team. It was the 40th and final Great Alaska Shootout and, with the Chippewas claiming the tourney title, coach Keno Davis joined his father in leading his team to the championship. Dr. Tom Davis led Iowa to the Great Alaska Shootout crown in 1986.
Roundtree hit a pair of free throws with 1:51 to play to put the Chippewas in front, 74-72. DiLeo made a free throw with 20 seconds left for the final margin.
Damiyne Durham scored 24 points to lead Cal State Bakersfield (4-3).
The Chippewas return to McGuirk Arena on Friday, Dec. 1 (7 p.m.) to play Jackson State in a nonconference game.
