Senior guard Justin Drummond paced the Rockets with a season-high 20 points and was a perfect 12-of-12 from the charity stripe. Also scoring in double figures was senior guard Julius Brown (16 pts.), junior center Nathan Boothe (13 pts.) and sophomore guard Jonathan Williams (11 pts.).
Darrell Bowie led NIU with 18 points. He was followed by Aaric Armstead with 154points and Anthony Johnson with 12.

Jordan threloff’s layup at 15:06 lowered the Huskies deficit to four (49-33). However, Toledo bumped it up to an even dozen following a Jonathan Williams trey at 8:21.
Drummond hit four free throws down the stretch to help UT hold off the Huskies.
Drummond’s performance at the charity stripe was part of a 27-of-31 (87.1 percent) team effort. That accuracy played a key role in UT’s win as NIU converted just 17-of-29 (58.6 percent) free-throw attempts.
Toledo also won the battle of the boards, 37-31, against the MAC’s top rebounding squad. Senior forward J.D. Weatherspoon paced the Rockets with a game-high 13 rebounds.
Junior forward Darrell Bowie topped NIU with 18 points.
The Rockets return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 4 when it hosts Eastern Michigan (14-7, 3-5 MAC). Tip-off time is set for 7:00 p.m. in Savage Arena.
