YPSILANTI, MI – The Eastern Michigan Eagles capped off an historic regular season with a late come-from-behind victory over Central Michigan Tuesday at Rynearson Stadium , 26-21. With the victory, the Eagles (7-5, 4-4 MAC) finish a regular season with seven wins for the first time since 1989. CMU closed the regular season at 6-6, 3-5 MAC.
Eastern opened up a 14-0 lead early in the second quarter thanks to a 50-yard run by Blake Banham and 42-yard pass from Brogan Roback to Dieuly Aristile.

The hosts managed a pair of Paul Fricano field goals (23 and 41 yards) in the third stanza, boosting the EMU lead to 20-7. However, Central Michigan stormed back with two Spalding touchdown runs (5 and 41 yards) to hold a 21-20 lead with 2:34 remaining.

Eastern Michigan started its decisive drive at its own 28. Roback completed six of seven passes, including a 9-yarder on 4th and 6, along the way in a seven-play drive. Sergio Bailey II hauled in a 24-yard pass for the TD.
Roback completed 26 of 37 throws for 355 yards with two TDs and one interception. Bailey topped Eagle receivers with six catches for 104 yards and a score. Banham paced all rushers with 18 carries for 120 with a TD.
Senior Cooper Rush connected on 21 of 35 passes for 256 yards with one interception. Junior Corey Willis owned seven receptions for 125 yards. Spalding provided all three CMU scores and rushed 11 times for 85 yards.
