The 6-1 Evans blossomed this season, earning Second Team All-MAC honors while Buffalo captured its first Mid-American Conference title and an NCAA tournament slot. He was seventh in MAC scoring, averaging 15.4 ppg and third in assists (4.6 apg).
Head coach Bobby Hurley, who guided the Bulls to MAC supremacy in his second year at the helm, recently accepted the head coaching job at Arizona State.
Evans sought a meeting with White and expressed some frustrations on Twitter before the situation was ironed out.
