Cleveland, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference (MAC) office announced today that three student-athletes will serve a suspension for the first half of this Saturday’s (Oct. 18) football games for violating the league’s sportsmanship conduct policy for conduct that occurred during games played last Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014.
Northern Illinois defensive back Marlon Moore, Kent State safety Elcee Refuge and Ohio defensive end Kurt Laseak will each sit the first half of games played this Saturday, Oct. 18. All three student-athletes were ejected during their respective games last Saturday.
“Actions like these are unacceptable and will not be tolerated,” said Dr. Jon Steinbrecher, Commissioner of the MAC. “I would like to thank our head coaches and administrators on all three campuses for their prompt attention to address this matter.”
According to the announcement, The MAC considers the matter concluded and will have no further comment.
