ESTERO, Fla -- Central Michigan (2-2) connected on just 8 of 34 shots (23.5%) overall and 2 of 15 beyond the arc in the first half of a 88-60 loss to Western Kentucky Tuesday.
The Hilltoppers led 17-15 midway through the first half before embarking on a 19-4 run to close the first period. WKU led by as many as 36 after intermission and shot 53 percent for the game.
Frederick Edmond tallied 16 and Justin Johnson added 13 for the Hilltoppers. Braylon Rayson (13) and Austin Stewart (10) to lead Central Michigan scoring.
