AKRON, Ohio – Akron basketball head coach Keith Dambrot announced this week that freshman guard Noah Robotham will miss the rest of the season after a MRI confirmed that he tore his right ACL.
Robotham, a Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year candidate, was injured with 1:10 to go in regulation against Miami (Ohio) on Saturday. He would split a pair of free throws following the injury, but came out of the game afterward.

"Obviously this is a tremendous loss for our program, but more importantly, I feel for Noah and his family," Dambrot said. "Noah's calming effect on our team has been noticeable and will be hard to replace. He is one of the best freshmen we have ever had at Akron. With that said, we believe we can still win at a high level."
Robotham appeared in 26-of-27 games this season, making 25 starts. He is averaging 9.9 points, 3.3 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game while playing an average of 30.6 minutes per game. He had previously missed the Toledo game on Feb. 18 while battling flu-like symptoms and came off the bench against Miami (Ohio).
