The Mid-American Conference on Monday announced its Week Three Football Players of the Week. They are:

East Division

Offensive Player of the Week:
Akron WR JoJo Natson
Akron senior wide receiver JoJo Natson (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) collected seven receptions for 134 yards and one touchdown and helped lead the Zips in a 65-38 win at Marshall. He recorded his first 100-yard receiving game as a Zip, and second of his career.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Ohio LB Quentin Poling
Ohio junior linebacker Quentin Poling (Gomer, Ohio) led an Ohio defense which held Tennessee to its lowest rushing numbers of the season, while recording 14 tackles including nine solo stops, both season highs, in a 28-19 loss to No. 15-ranked Tennessee. Poling also recorded 1.5 tackles for three yards lost and forced a fumble. Ohio also held Tennessee without a 100-yard rusher for the first time this season.

Special Teams Player of the Week:
Ohio K Louie Zervos
Ohio freshman kicker Louie Zervos (Tarpon Springs, Fla.) was the top scorer for Ohio against No. 15 Tennessee last week drilling 4-4 field goal attempts, including a long of 38-yards, in a 28-19 loss in Knoxville. His 38-yard field goal put Ohio on the board in the opening frame. Zervos also drilled his only PAT and is now 13-14 on field goal attempts on the season and ranks first in the NCAA in field goals per game (4.33) and third in total scoring.
West Division

Co-Offensive Player of the Week:
Central Michigan QB Cooper Rush
Central Michigan senior quarterback Cooper Rush (Charlotte, Mich.) was 20-of-33 passing for 352 yards and six touchdowns in a 44-21 win over UNLV. His six touchdown passes set a Kelly/Shorts Stadium record and he also passed the 10,000-yard milestone in career passing yardage.

Co-Offensive Player of the Week:
Western Michigan RB Jamauri Bogan
Western Michigan sophomore running back Jamauri Bogan (Union, N.J.) ran for 189 yards and two touchdowns in the Broncos 34-10 win at Illinois on Saturday. It is the first time Western Michigan has defeated two Power 5 schools in the same season. For Bogan it was the fourth straight game to rush over 100 yards dating back to last year, and the third time in his career he has gone over 150 yards. His two touchdowns gave him 20 for his career, putting him in a tie for 10th place all-time at Western Michigan. Bogan carried the rock 24 times, setting a new career high, one more than his previous high of 23 set last season at Ohio State.

Co-Defensive Player of the Week:
Western Michigan LB Robert Spillane
Western Michigan junior linebacker Robert Spillane (Oak Park, Ill.) recorded a career-high 11 tackles in a 34-10 win over Big Ten opponent Illinois on Saturday, helping the Broncos to the first time in school history to defeat two ‘Power 5’ schools in the same season. Spillane was part of a defense which held Illinois to just three yards rushing on 15 carries. He also had a tackle for loss along with his first career interception, which he returned for 26 yards.

Co-Defensive Player of the Week:

Toledo senior defensive lineman Treyvon Hester (Pittsburgh, Pa.) recorded a collegiate-best two quarterback sacks in the first period in a 52-17 win over Fresno State. Hester finished with a team-tying best five stops, including a career-tying best 2.5 tackles for loss. Through the first three games, Hester has three sacks, surpassing his season total for sacks from each of the last two years. He had 2.0 sacks in 2014 and 2.5 sacks last fall.

Special Teams Player of the Week:
Eastern Michigan K Paul Fricano
Eastern Michigan redshirt-freshman Paul Fricano (Rochester, N.Y.) was automatic on the night in a 37-19 win over UNC Charlotte last Saturday. Fricano was 3-for-3 from field goal range, knocking home kicks of 22, 30, and a career-high 36 yards.  He was also a perfect 4-for-4 on extra points, and is an unblemished 15-for-15 on the season.
