The Falcons owned a 42-34 rebound advantage and committed just eight turnovers to 15 for CMU.
Central Michigan also had a good night from the field, sinking 30-of-61 (49.2%) and was 6-of-17 (35.3%) beyond the arc. However, the Chippewas managed to sink just 3-of-15 free throws (20%).
Meikkel Murray made two of those charity tosses and hit 7-of-9 from the field on the way to a team-high 16 points. Travon Broadway Jr. and Caleb Huffman netted 13 points apiece, while Devontae Lane added 10.
Central Michigan never led, but trailed by just one (21-20) with 9:05 remaining in the first half. Fulcher's triple, however, kicked off a 15-2 Falcon run that gave BG a double-digit lead. Bowling Green took a 46-36 edge to intermission.
The Falcons built on that lead and went up by 20 (61-41) after Plowden's layup at 13:59. Central Michigan (5-5) was unable to get within striking distance and fell to its second conference loss in three MAC outings. Bowling Green moved to 8-2 overall and 4-0 in MAC play.
