The Eagles (2-5) had three players score in double figures. Senior Monty Scott , junior Bryce McBride , as well as freshman Colin Golson Jr. each tallied 16 points for the Green and White.
How It Happened
After falling behind 25-24, Eastern Michigan went on a 6-0 run with 5:55 left in the first half, culminating in a bucket from Scott, to take a 30-25 lead. The Eagles then surrendered that lead and entered halftime down 40-39.
UCSD widened its lead after intermission, building a 52-43 advantage before Eastern Michigan went on a 6-0 run to shrink the deficit to 52-49 with 13:34 to go in the contest. San Diego responded and outscored the Eagles the rest of the way, ending the game with a final score of 83-74.

» EMU dropped 39 points in the first half at UC San Diego. That number is the best by the Eagles this season, and the most by the team since it scored 42 in the opening frame against Northern Illinois, Feb. 27, 2021.
» The Eagles shot 49.2 percent from the field (31-of-63), the team's second-best shooting percentage of the season. Unfortunately, it fell victim to the second best shooting clip (55%; 28-of-51) and best three-point percentage, 52 percent (12-of-23) by an opponent this season in the loss.
» EMU's bench was dominant in the game against UC San Diego. The Eagles' bench outscored the Triton's non-starters, 24-2. Eastern has now gotten 20+ points from its bench in six games this season.
